Hey andi, is this phone better than letv phones? I want to buy it but I am still confused. can you give e your advice??

I prefer the Z1 over the LeTV Le1s. It has a better camera for a start, but also battery life is amazing too.

and 64GB is the icing on the cake.

what a disappointment with LeTV 1S, that’s the result of pushing into the cheapest.

They started out so strong with their first few phones, hopefully they get back to that and don’t fall into the trap many do. I remember Kingzone came out with the excellent K1 Turbo and then each phone after that was a complete disappointment. Hopefully LeTv learns from their mistakes with the 1s.

Dont give up on Letv LE1s guys. New stable rom 008s in pre realease ( official release wed 24) and among other things some good improvements in camera performance. The same comparison test would give very difference results already

I like this phone, but at that price it is still overpriced. Too many better phones available for less or the same.

      i don’t like this phone,but….

Zuk offers something that other companies don’t:
big battery, big storage, fingerprint scanner and CM all in one phone.

there are people seeking for those features and might not want to deal with Chinese skins. so for that reason there’s room for Zuk in this market.

I agree there is room for Zuk, the CM fanbase is huge, they made OnePlus a success and they are doing the same for Zuk. But for me personally it doesn’t offer anything that a Xiaomi or Meizu doesn’t.

because you can care less of CM
          🙂
Actually you like both MIUI and Flyme more than Stock-ish Android.

            For me it’s MIUI+Nova launcher

Yea I’m not a huge fan of CM but I don’t necessarily hate it. I can admit it is incredibly light and fast compared to MiUI.

              don’t think that’s a bug-free rom though.

My wife is having several issues for example.
the main one is really bad phone call quality.
I can barely understand what she says while on a call with her
(i don’t really dislike this bug).

disabling the Google Now app the quality got better, but still it’s there.

I’ve never had any kind of problem with MI4 and Miui which i would always put it on top of my list.

Is Miui heavy? yes, it is but because it’s packet with features i didn’t even know they were there.
Last night for example i received a call from a Wisconsin number.
As soon as i pick the call, a recorded message goes off so i figured it was telemarketers.

i hang up and a new screen shows up:Miui is asking me who called me (scammers, stalkers, telemarketers and few other options).
i chose telemarketers and then it said that from now on they will block the calls from telemarketers they have in their database.
              cool stuff isn’t it?

In my years of experience i have yet to find a bug free experience. I have two Nexus devices i keep around for trying different things, 4 and 7. They had some of the worst bugs on Lollipop.

the only comparable 64GB phone out there (that comes in my mind right now) is the OPO which sells for $299 on their official store.

it doesn’t have that big battery, fingerprint scanner, dual-sim, usb c.

the OPO has a wider support for LTE 1/3/4/7/17…
          while Zuk only 1/3/7

so the Opo is still a better candidate for the north america market.

personally, i think that the design is what mostly turns me off from Zuk

The design is incredibly bland but i don’t mind it. Kind of looks like a slightly less ugly Asus phone.

i like the look of the Zuk. I would buy it if it had wider band support in the US. I also like Xiaomi and Meizu, but again need more US bands. I had high hopes for the Le 1s, but those hopes were kind of dashed by the camera shoot out

everybody was bummed after looking at those blurry pictures!
The 1S was nearly the perfect “budget flagship” (forgive me this neologism).

speaking of US bands, we don’t have many options:
so far we can rely only on those brands that have already made the US market (officially or rebranded)
like Huawei, Gionee, TCL and partially OnePlus.

One could consider the Xiaomi Mi Note too at that price point
