The end of November — and this year, overall — is going to be an exciting one for Chinese tech enthusiasts. Xiaomi is set for a big product launch November 24th, Vivo have the X6 coming 30th November, and there’s the Mate 8 launch scheduled for the 26th.
While we’ve talked extensively about the Xiaomi and Vivo launches, it’s Huawei’s turn to step on the gas. Freshly leaked is the upcoming Mate 8 (with some serious covering), giving a bit of a glimpse at how the device might look.
Huawei were among the first phone makers to put a fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone. The Mate 8 will continue the trend. While we didn’t need a leaked picture to tell us that, having one doesn’t hurt!
Gizchina News of the week
We’ve previously talked about the SoC the Mate 8 will carry — the powerful Kirin 950 along with 4GB of RAM and some powerful camera tech in a 16 mega-pixel rear and 8 mega-pixel front.
While the leaked pictures don’t tell much besides the camera and fingerprint sensor, it does look like the Mate 8 will have a SIM slot towards the left of the phone. Valuable info indeed (pun intended), but that’s a hardcore tech enthusiast for you — not letting a single bit of detail go to waste!
