As expected, albeit delayed, OnePlus responded to the ‘cablegate’ issue that had to do with OnePlus’ Type-C adapters and cables’ incompatibility with some fast charge devices.
OnePlus reassured users that their accessories were 100% safe to use with the OnePlus 2, but at the same time conceded that they might not be compatible with all USB Type-C devices available in the market.
The post went on to state that if the chargers/adapters/accessories that you’re using are CE, CCC or UL certified, they are good enough to be used with OnePlus’ Type-C accessories.
Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus, wrote a message on the OnePlus forums:

Despite that, if you bought OnePlus’ standalone Type-C accessories, you’re entitled for a refund. North America and Europe buyers should follow this link while Chinese and Indian buyers can head over to the nearest OnePlus service centre for a refund.
