Back when we reviewed the Chuwi Vi10, we found the device to be a highly potent one, especially keeping in mind the fact that it sold for less than $150 to international buyers.
The Vi8 is another Chuwi tablet that’s fairly popular. Chuwi is set to follow it up with a Vi8 Plus next month. The factory promise that it’ll have a genuine copy of Windows 10 installed (perhaps with an Android installation for dual booting.)
Gizchina News of the week
Chuwi have been sly about the specifications of this upcoming tablet and have hardly revealed exact numbers. What Chuwi did tell (via a Weibo message) is that the Vi8 Plus will have a Cherry Trail processor, and a USB Type-C interface in addition to an HDMI out port — no surprises here.
Chuwi have been able to maintain an almost perfect balance between price and features (and reliability), which makes the company worth watching out for. Along with Teclast and Cube, Chuwi makes the most noise on the Chinese tablet scene.
I don’t know why Teclast don’t make successor to Teclast X89 since this is 7.9″ inch retina 4:3 dual os tablet
Yea i wanted to see any new windiws tab , But the new mi tab at first didnt impress anyone because “intel” , Apparently the graphic performance was better than tegra K1 ( this was confirmed by a friend who resides in china and got 2 samples) Antutu beats the crap out of Note 5 and pro 5 , near huawei mate 8, and the thing that surprised hum is that games run better than on the last model ( the only sad thing is that no more tegra exclusives)
Noooo. Chuwi please don’t read this, we hate the old shool 4:3 ratio. 16:9 is the way to go in 2016!
16:9 is the most frustrating thing on windows 10 tablet. I have tried 2 16:9 tablet (t100 and t200) and the experience was frustrating. With acer switch one, the result changed a bit because it’s 16:10
Chuwi should ship hi10 and hi8 pro first to Chinese webshops, it’s delayed several times already (my order still has not been shipped). Chuwi might really has a hard time solving the overheating problems of the cherry trail chipset or software bugs.
Win 10 is not a big deal as you always can install whatever OS you want. The good news are that we’ll see this tablet shipping with Skylake and that they didn’t ditched the hdmi output.
Who said you need to paid for it. Don’t tell me that all of these torrents around the web containing a full legit Windows 10 isos are not being downloaded by people like me and you.
I mean, I want a chaper tablet without windows. I don’t know if I could install a windows in a tablet… besides, I use linux.
