Yet another smartphone brand marked its entry into the Indian market earlier today in QiKU, a joint venture between smartphone OEM Coolpad and Qihoo 360 from China.
QiKU launched its first set of smartphones in China three months back. Out of which, the QiKU Q Terra (aka Terra 808) gets to be the first one to grace the competent Indian market. Keep reading for the specs.
The QiKU Q Terra comes with a Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor (just like the Xiaomi Mi 4c), 3GB RAM and 16GB storage, all packed beneath a massive 6-inch 1920 x 1080p display. Besides that, the QiKU Q Terra has a 13 mega-pixel dual rear camera setup (f/1.8) along with an 8 mega-pixel front-facing shooter, powered by FotoNation 4.0.
Gizchina News of the week
Like almost every other mid-range phone/flagship in the market today, the QiKU Q Terra has a fingerprint sensor on the rear. Unlike the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 that claims a 0.3s unlock time, the Q Terra needs half a second to accomplish the same.
This QiKU phone will be a Gadgets360 exclusive, and will be made available in Gold and Silver color options starting December 5th. There’ll be invites for the QiKU Q Terra, which will allow you to get the phone for 19,999 INR. But if you don’t manage to get hold of one, you can still buy the phone invite-free but at 2,000 INR extra, i.e., total price of 21,999 INR.
boy … u Indians are sooo lucky ! i wish we had a similar flow of brands in Pakistan!
this is a dream phone … DUAL rear CAM , SD 808 , Finger print scanner AND 6 inch FHD DISPLAY !
what on EARTH else could u want ?!
i bet people in india will buy this Titan on Impulse !
No bro. U wont believe it… People here say its a little overpriced… But i feel its quite a bargain. But again a new brand and that too in a new country… Their aftersales and so will be the deciding factor….which most of the new company sucks at. Even xiaomi’s aftersales in india is horrible.
well .. i honestly don’t know what to say…
because if sky is the limit … then this phone is pretty much the sky in terms of specs and its final retail…
ofcourse aftersales is an important aspect but the phone on its own is a complete package and at the price it being offered … it should prove to be a daunting temptation to turn down
Dream Phone for me too 😉 I only have hope that this dual camera will be as good as they promise to be.
liaow.com (under Qiku Dasen) if you want it. Even base Silver Luna model looks good, but lacks fancy twin cameras.
i would like a job with that too :p
is it me or is that site trying to gimme tachycardia with its prices 😀
from what I’ve heard you get very good personal service for the prices, currently needing to return two items to China and jumping hoops I can appreciate that. Plus Qiku is not widely featured by usual suspect resellers so prices for those are actually ok, I’ve seen dearer elsewhere. Don’t know how they compare to Indian ones (can you import from India to Pakistan)?
its actually going to be a very tedious experience if i try to import ANYTHING from India the amount of red tape and the scrutiny by LEAs(law enforcement agencies) will actually make me regret of thinking about importing from our neighbours. not to mention the agencies starting to place suspicion on me for being an agent :’D !
so u buy alot from liaow.com?
and personal services mean ?
wow, that’s heavy, no love for thy neighbour.
Not bought from liaow, but read a lot of good things, sounds like (possibly) a one man band operation with very good comms. I had seriously considered them for a Qiku Ultimate until I scored that Vowney Lite on crazy presale.
talking about Vowney tho 😀
Regarding Vowney I have very low expectations, so hope to be surprised. Recently I’ve had high hopes and been disappointed.
