Elephone Trunk gets Android 6.0

Elephone have posted a link to CyanogenMod 13 for the Snapdragon powered Elephone Trunk bring Android 6 to the budget phone.

Elephone’s first Snapdragon powered phone also happens to be one of their most affordable device to date. The Elephone Trunk was released a few months ago, and boasted a nice design, simple hardware and decent performance.

With a Qualcomm chip inside we did speculate that we might see custom ROMs for the phone, and low and behold here they come. Posted on the Elephone forums are details of CyanogenMod 13 for the sub $100 while brings the OS up to Android 6.0.

Not only does this make the Elephone Trunk the first available Elephone to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but the Trunk is now one of the very few Chinese phones to have Android 6 at all!

The Elephone Vowney is delayed till 30th of December as they are holding out for deploying a different SoC to obtain worldbands.
From Elephone headquarters;
Dear customers,
In order to ensure your good experience and good quality, we decided to delivery vowney on December 30th. Because the firmware is still under debugging. All the customers that ordered vowney before that date will get a free set of leather case and tempered glass protective film valued $20 in total as compensation.
Sorry for the inconvenience, hopefully you will understand and we appreciate your support.

  On one hand, it’s nice to see they’re finally trying to make a good phone instead of just rushing it
  On the other side, it doesn’t seem like this phone will ever appear. It’ll be like the Sasquatch. Someone will say they have one, but we’ll never believe it.

  Random question, why do you love Elephone so much? You’re always posting glowing support for them and you buy their BS statements like the one above. This is the 6th time they have “delayed” the phone due to different issues. Aren’t you sick of being lied to? There are much better phones from much better companies available.

  No but the settings in last (official) kernel source for S3 neo culd other than that use “Open Camera”.
