You can sign up to beta test Marshmallow on Honor 7 in the UK

The Honor 7 from the Huawei sub-brand has been one of the ‘hottest’ Chinese phones, so as to say for this year. Good news is that you can now get a taste of Android 6.0 Marshmallow on the phone.

To be able to test the Marshmallow ROM on your Honor 7, you’ll have to sign up for the beta testing program (link at article ending). Needless to say, the ROM isn’t going to be completely free of bugs, and you’ll essentially be a tester-user while you’re on the ROM.

Gizchina News of the week

The Android 6.0 ROM will, of course, be topped with Huawei’s EMUI 4.0, which means it isn’t going to be plain vanilla as some users would rather like it.

This will also be the first time that Huawei will be shipping EMUI 4.0. The other Huawei phone to get EMUI 4.0, the Mate 8, is yet to start shipping.

If you’re in the UK and interested in beta testing the Android 6.0 ROM for the Honor 7, sign up here.

Already signed up a couple of weeks ago. Lets see if they can keep their promise. Hopefully not too many bugs in the first release so I can quickly switch over to Android 6.0. Not that there is anything wrong with 5.0.2 but there are some interesting features I’m looking forward to use in 6.0.

    Great phone btw!
