LeTV have confirmed that they will be launching in the U.S in less than a month and will also be attending next years CES.
LeTV have had a stunning year. This year the company went from being a content streaming giant, to a major player in the Chinese phone market! This is no mean feat and especially impressive since it has taken less than 12 months for them to achieve it.
Their success all started with their first 3 smartphone launches of the year. The Le1, Le1 Pro and Le1 Max all turned out to be premium devices with great performance, and in my opinion marked the best premier launches of any Chinese phone maker to date.
Since the first 3 phones we have also seen the release of the Le1s and seen proof that the Chinese brand wants to enter the Indian and U.S markets, which brings us on to todays news.
Gizchina News of the week
In an email sent to press today, LeTV have confirmed that they plan to enter the U.S market in less than a month and that they will be attending CES for the first time ever later in 2016. At this stage we don’t know if LeTV’s streaming services will be their first U.S launch of if their phones will go on sale too.
If that wasn’t enough, LeTV also tell us to expect a ground breaking piece of news that will kick off soon. No details as to what that will be, but I personally think that they could be the first to release a Snapdragon 820 phone.
Too bad their phones have no micro-SD card slot.
The main reason I would like to see this kind of quality phones (left+op2+oppo etc) into the american market is to force down some of those crazy profit margins some well known company has at least a 100 USD.
Now on to more realistic stuff : if there’s is a Sony Xperia Premium like phone with the new SD820 lurking out there apple better prepare themselves for a fight.
They already list a TV at 799S http://us.lemall.com/us/product/x355.html
There is also this – Faraday Future, an electric car venture with backing from Chinese billionaire Yeuting Jia, announced plans Thursday to invest $1 billion to build its first manufacturing facility in Las Vegas to make what it touts as “cars of the future.”
what you mean launching?
phones?
So there should be an international rom in the making for the letv phone.
Are they launching phones or smart TV;s? They have a better shot at cracking the TV market than the phone market but will be very interesting to see.
Letv, keep them coming!!
If this will mean an international ROM for Letv phones, then I am jumping ship from the quartet of phones I have from Oppo to Letv.
