Chinese media have managed to get their hands on 2 new photos that reportedly show the Xiaomi Mi5 with new physical home button design, plus are these the final specifications?
Xiaomi won’t be launching the Xiaomi Mi5 flagship this side of 2016, but they might have the device up on the market in time for the Chinese New Year (around Feb), this might explain why more details and purported images of the new phone have been showing up more frequently.
Xiaomi Mi5 Photos and specs
Two new Xiaomi Mi5 photos give us another view of the flagship phone. The title image (above) clearly shows the front of the phone, and also an oval physical home button where a fingerprint scanner might be held. This would be interesting as Xiaomi already have the Redmi Note 3 with rear fingerprint scanner, perhaps suggesting this is the only good solution for a budget fingerprint scanner, where as flagship phones will get physical buttons.
Gizchina News of the week
The second image seems to show the interior of the phone and the metal internal chassis that will keep the next flagship nice and solid. Again there is a space at the bottom of the phone for an oval home button.
Attached to the chassis Chinese media believe the final Xiaomi Mi5 spec will include a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB RAM, 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, options for 16-64GB internal memory, dual SIM LTE, and a rose gold colour option.
What do you make of these latest Xiaomi Mi5 leaks? Are we finally looking at the real phone?
Interesting, somewhat inspired. Will wait patiently and see
Superb if it’s going to be 5″ FullHD.
