Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note Prime today, i.e., on 14th December 2015 in India.
The phone seems to be Xiaomi’s effort at making the Indian market feel ‘looked after’, since both, the Redmi Note 2 and the Redmi Note 3 couldn’t be launched in the country.

What do you think about this new device? If you are in India, are you happy with the Redmi Note Prime or would you not settle for anything lesser than the Redmi Note 3?
– HD Screen
– SD 410 (LOL)
– 2GB Ram
– Welcome to early 2014 I guess.
Many phones with far better SoCs and better overall specs at just Rs. 1500/- more. Not sure why someone wouldn’t go for those, instead of this outdated piece of underwhelming crap.
And no company should ever make the mistake of thinking that they can lure Indians with that “made in India” crap – that’s for chest beating jingoistic lunatics (who are also hypocrites) – for the rest of us, we will go with anything that has the best value, regardless of where it’s made, with no preference for home made phones whatsoever.
