Like me, you hadn’t heard of Kult (the smartphone brand) before today. It turns out this new India-based smartphone vendor has an interesting offering that should definitely be looked at.
The Kult 10 is the first phone from the brand. It is pretty affordable at just 7999 INR / $119, and despite that it has on offer some decent specifications which we’ll take a look at.
Before moving on to what’s inside the phone, what will strike you about the exterior is that it looks a lot like the Xiaomi Mi 4i/4c. Not just that, the screen size is identical to the Xiaomi lot too, at 5 inches.
The kit running the show is a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, presumably the MT6735 along with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage. 4G LTE and a 13 mega-pixel PDAF (phase detection auto focus) rear camera are other highlights of the phone.
Gizchina News of the week
Besides that, the Kult 10 has a 5 mega-pixel rear camera, a 2350mAh removable battery, dimensions of 143×70.3×7.6mm and an Android 5.1 Lollipop installation.
In all, the Kult 10 seems like a way more attractive device than its name.
Folks in India will be able to buy the phone via Snapdeal.com (only). What Kult seem to have done well is partnering with ‘Telecare’ which will give Kult access to 500 after-sales service points across the country.
So Yash, what exactly is “INTERESTING” about this crap? Is it the 2350mAh battery or the MT6735?
I wasted my time reading through this non sense article. Stop deceiving people with catchy head lines.
The pricing, the fact that a new brand has come up with a phone like this. There aren’t many other phones in the Indian market which have the specs and price of this phone. That is what is interesting.
Maybe you should be more specific in your post titles next time so we know its only for Indians and dont have to waste our precious time coming here to read this. I wont buy this phone for any reason.
I really don’t like making a comment like this but your tone is not suited for a public forum Michael. It’s a shame reading this article wasted your precious time, there are tonnes of sites which will have what you are looking for.
Is this a China made and India branded phone? I am sure India can make good reasonable phones. India lacks the supply chain and infrastructure to make high volume phones to compete with China. But, at the moment the Chinese are moving to India to establish an industry just like the Taiwanese/Korean/Japanese/westerner did decades ago in China.
I agree with @yash3339:disqus here. How many times have we come across China only phones?
Also, his first paragraph says “India based smartphone vendor”.
If at all, merely asking for a title change would’ve served well.
It was a good write up Yash, I am with you I think it is very interesting for the price and the after sales service being offered.
Appreciate that @balcobomber25:disqus. Of course nothing’s going to change how we work here 🙂
Yash seriously you dont need to justify the title, it is really interesting too see atleast someone has raised the bar in the feature that too in less price, for other huge selling no will tell its story
Forget the article, the real fail is all the crap you got to scroll through just to get to the comments.
3gb ram and 13mp PDAF camera plus hybrid sim slot with support for 128gb sd card.
Those are not your everyday specs for sub $150 device.
Most phones in this price range offer only 8mp autofocus cam+32gb sdcard slot+2gb ram
$119 for a 3GB phone is VERY interesting in my book.
Is it only the 3GB RAM that makes up the phone? You guys should stop hyping a phone when it doesnt have much to offer.
It’s a $119 phone that offers 3GB RAM and a 13MP PDAF camera. Show me another phone in this price range that offers both of those and I will stop “hyping” it.
They had to cheap out somewhere with all those other specs
What do you expect for $119? Provided they have decent software this is an excellent buy. Even with that small of a battery you should still get good battery life thanks to the 6735 and most likely 720p display.
Surely killer phone on specs…lets see actual product review
ram is cheap as fckk
