Gizchina News of the week

The popular 8 core Mediatek MT6753 chipset with 3GB RAM has been used a lot in a number of Chinese phones this year and although not as powerful as the MT6752 it still performs well for daily use.

Hmm, could you tell me why this offer is better than the one on official site where it has the same price? Ships fro EU as well and shipping price is similarly high.

For this price you can get an X10 phone with equal or better specs. Zoppo used to be a big name in this industry that could charge more for it’s devices, those days are long gone though.

But without LTE 800 MHz, so I would be basically getting a non-LTE phone in my case. I don’t get why are manufacturers like Xiaomi, Meizu or LeTV ignoring this frequency which is very important for European customers.

I would have already bought a phone from them and suggest their phones to my friends. But since they don’t support it, I can not recommend it to anybody here. LTE is essential these days.

Mostly because none of them are officially sold in Europe. There are all sorts of costs to use that LTE band, the same with the US LTE bands. Between equipment and licensing costs, the sales have to justify those costs. Until they have an official presence there it will be hit or miss to whether they include it.

But a lot of other Chinese manufacturers include this band. For example Doogee, Zopo, Elephone or some Lenovo.

Lenovo and Zoppo have a presence in several European countries which is why they include it on some phone. Elephone and Doogee include it because they need to reach new customers, people in Asia are figuring out how bad the quality of their devices is. They are looking for new people to deceive.

the linked phone is actually the Zopo Speed 7 Plus, which is typically $230 on the official site. the article forgets to mention the “Plus”, which is significant.

The only difference between the two is the plus is a 5.5 inch phone and has a slightly bigger battery (which makes up for the bigger display). Other than that they are identical in specs. Really depends on the consumer, if the difference between 5 and 5.5 inch is a big deal for you then it is significant, if not it’s not that big of a deal.
