NO.1 D5 smartwatch runs Android 4.4 in hands on video

No.1 have released a video of an earlier production version of their Android powered No.1 D5 Android smartwatch with full Android 4.4 ROM.

The original Chinese Android smartwatches were devices designed to run a full Android Install and bring full smartphone features to your wrist. These early devices tended to be quite pricey and they quickly made way for the more simple wearables we have seen launch over the past 12 months.

Chinese wearable maker No.1 have gone full circle and have a new smartwatch that uses a full Android operating system once again, plus it even has GSM and WCDMA support too for web browsing and phone calls.

Gizchina News of the week

The hands on video above is quite long winded but shows the Android 4.4 interface which has been modded slightly to work on the round 360 x 360 resolution display. The majority of the video shows the various different watch faces available, but also shows some web browsing, video playback and even some use of the keyboard (its not the most ideal keyboard size and design for such a small screen).

N0.1 have already listed the full specs of the No.1 D5 on their website and list the phone with a Mediatek MT6572 chipset, 512mb RAM, 4GB internal memory and 450mAh battery. Is this device something that could get you in to wearables?

        It is not Android wear.

No 1s watch is not out. But the same watch is also sold as the K8 and available from a few places (geekbuying, gearbest) already.

Is it the same? They both look similar, but the K8 more buttons, and the UI seems to slighty different. Also the video at geabest shows only one watch face.
