The LeTV Le1s and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 are too very similar phones, so similar in fact that some of you are unsure which phone to choose, hopefully this comparison including video will help you all out.
With alloy bodies, rear fingerprint scanner, Helio X10, 13 mega-pixel rear camera and 5.5-inch FHD display, both the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and LeTV Le1s are very similar phones. So which device is better for you? Well it all depends on your usage and which features are important to you.

As mentioned in the video above the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 performs better than the LeTV Le1s in the camera department. With that said though there have been some huge leaps in image quality on the LeTV Le1s with updates, and we hope that with frequent updates we will see even better performance in the future.
At this time though the Redmi Note 3 has a better camera, it gets more natural colours and handles light sources better. The Le1s tends to take pale photos and seems washed out on more occasions. Take a look at the photo sample below to see what you think of both cameras.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 vs LeTV Le1s build quality
Personally I feel the CNC machined alloy body on the LeTV Le1s is superior to the simple folded alloy panel on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. The LeTV Le1s feels like a higher quality device in the hand (the slim body plays a small part in this), where as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 feels a bit basic (but still well made). The thicker body of the Xiaomi also means you get a much larger battery.

Although both phones have a 5.5-inch FHD 1920 x 1080 display I feel the LeTV Le1s has the better quality display, it also has far superior audio through the dual external speakers and earphones.
Performance for gaming and daily usage cannot be differentiated. Firstly both the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and the LeTV Le1s have the same Mediatek Helio X10 chipset and come with either 2GB or 3GB RAM. There really is no notable difference in performance between each phone.
The rear facing single touch fingerprint scanner on both phones looks and works exactly the same. It’s a really neat, fast and secure method of unlocking and getting access to your phone.
As mentioned above the LeTV Le1s is thinner and the CNC body feels like an upmarket chassis, but it means you get a smaller battery. Earlier LeTV X500 roms also lead to poor battery life, but like the camera, battery life is improving with each update. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has a physically larger battery and from the get go a longer battery life. The Xiaomi’s battery tends to gradually run down, while the LeTV seems to suddenly drop in battery level, this is especially notable the closer to the red you are.

If you think you can live the camera quality of the LeTV Le1s and don’t mind the smaller battery then the LeTV is the phone to choose. You will also get a nicer body, better display and much nicer audio.
However, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 benefits from a larger battery, better camera, and the phone as a whole is very good with no faults. Although the LeTV has better audio and a nicer screen, the Xiaomi is also fine and won’t disappoint.

LeTV 1S has equally big bezels. Its an optical illusion if you think it has no bezels
Look at the below picture the bezels are nearly identical. They look smaller on the LeTV because most of the images show a black background, whereas the Redmi has a light blue. But close up you can see for yourself. And actually it looks like the LeTV has the infamous black border.
Maybe he got blinded by the x500s gold colour 😛
It was mainly a tease man since people jump in on Elephone with the same ridiculous claims of bezel chub.
Glorious chamfered edges, symmetrical bottom speaker hole and centered usb port win … still waiting for my LeTV 1S, a month had passed.
On a side note, another blog said on their review that the camera on the Redmi Note 3 is awful, even worse than Redmi Note 2.
The writer of the review then popped up on our review’s comment section saying that he agreed with us, and that the camera was significantly better after an update.
He has since updated his review with the following:
“NOTE: camera was tested with the both MIUI V7.0.7.0.LHNCNCJ (MIUI7) and the MIUI V7.0.16.0.LHNCNCJ (MIUI7) (not yet available via OTA, the ROM was flashed manually). The results have proven that there is a significant change in picture quality between these two updates. 90% of the images taken using the old software had some major focus issues. “
