Bluboo want you to mix business, with pleasure, and.. more pleasure? with their 5-inch Bluboo Xfire 2 tai-sim phone launching next month.
There has been a definite shift these past few months with Chinese phone makers announcing details of ever more affordable Android smartphones all with unique selling points.
Over the past few months we have seen the UMi Rome launch with 3GB RAM, the announcement of a low cost Ulefone Paris X with stylish design, Elephone’s promises to release low-cost Android 6 devices, and now the Bluboo Xfire 2. While on the surface the pricing of these phones appears to be the most exciting, we find the different approaches to the market the more interesting detail. It seems Chinese phone makers aren’t sure how to compete in the sub $100 market for 2016.
Gizchina News of the week
Bluboo Xfire 2
With that in mind Bluboo have announced the Bluboo Xfire 2, it’s main selling point isn’t design, or the amount of RAM, but rather the implementation of a tri SIM slot. We have seen Tri SIM phones before but Bluboo claim that the Xfire 2 is the first 5-inch phone to see the feature (please correct them if they are wrong).
Images of the Xfire 2 show that the 3 sims will be split between two trays and the dual tray also appears to have the option for running an SD card too.
While this feature might sound impressive potential customers need to be aware that the phone has a quad-core Mediatek MT6580 chipset and this SoC only supports GSM and 3G networks.
Still the phone does have a 5-inch HD display, 2.5D glass curve, front camera flash and it will only cost $69.99 once on sale in January 2016. We will bring you more details as we receive them.
SAR will fry your brain when using it.
