Chrome OS that once looked like a very promising lightweight OS seems to have lost favour with power users that usually use their devices to browse the web.
However, companies still seem keen on bringing out hardware that makes use of the Google made OS.
The newest is Acer with their new Chromebook 11 (CB3-131). Thankfully though, the device is fairly affordable at $179.
Acer have been betting big on the Chrome OS game since quite a while. This time, Acer have gone the extra step to provide robust hardware along with a tried-and-tested combo of internal hardware and software… that is at least what the company claims.
Gizchina News of the week
The Chromebook 11 (CB3-131) has a fan-less design and an ‘all day’ 9 hour battery life. A 11-inch 1366 x 768 display sits atop the ‘robust’ body, that weighs 2.42 pounds or 1.1 kg.
It’ll be offered with a choice of different Celeron processors, with either 2GB or 4GB of RAM starting February.
