HomTom have taken their budget HT7 phone and created the seriously impressive HomTom HT7 Pro with updated hardware improvements and an affordable $90 price tag.
Ahead of the New Year HomTom announced the HT7, and although it was an affordable phone it really didn’t get the heart racing, however with a few tweeks and adjustments made here and there to the phone, HomTom have created the HT7 Pro with more attractive features and similar low pricing.
HomTom HT7 Pro Specifications
The HT7 Pro sees some impressive updates over the original HT7. First of all the chipset has been updated to a Mediatek MT6735 SoC. This not only means the phone can process applications and tasks faster, but perhaps more importantly users will have access to 4G LTE networks.

With the boost in processing, HomTom have give the HT7 Pro a bump in memory with now 2GB RAM (compared to 1GB) and 16GB internal memory (plus space for a micro SD card to expand storage further).
Other hardware updates include a 13 mega-pixel rear camera, 5 mega-pixel front camera and USB OTG. The 3000mAh battery from the standard HT7 has been carried over to the Pro, and to make the two phones visually different the Pro will feature a metallic, brushed metal finish.
Pricing is only $89.99 which in my book is quite a good deal for a 5.5-inch HD phone with those features, in fact if we look back to the start of last year similar 2015 models were selling in January for around double that price.
These devices make no sense! Is Doogee trying to kill off it`s own “Doogee” brand in favour of HOMTOM?
It pretty much looks like HomTom is just a sub-brand of Doogee, hell the first HomTom models were called Doogee HomTom everywere.
it IS the “battery-heavy” subbrand from doogee.
