Video: Elephone M3 Helio P10 running Vibe UI

Elephone are testing our some alternate ROMs for their forthcoming Elephone M3 smartphone, this video shows the Helio P10 phone running Vibe UI.

Elephone are working on some alternate ROM’s for their upcoming Elephone M3 model and taken this short video for us to take a look at. The video shows us around the new device and also gives us a look at the Lenovo ROM running (quite smoothly) on the P10 phone.

Elephone plan to release the Elephone M3, which boasts 3GB RAM and rear fingerprint scanner, with a stock Android 5.1 OS at launch with the option to update to Android 6 Marshmallow in the future.

Gizchina News of the week

We believe that under the hood the Elephone M3 is very similar to the Elephone P9000 phones that will also ship with 4GB RAM and the latest octacore from Mediatek, so ROMs from one phone could be used on others.

Elephone will launch the P9000 and their W2 smartwatch later this month at an event in Shenzhen. Watch out for more news closer to the date.

Nice looking phone with good performing chip. I do prefer the stock Android to the Vibe UI though. I dont like the Android OS without the app drawer.

Holy sh*t, terrible build quality on the backside. Check the alignments on 0:16 and 0:24. In fact the whole back side looks put together amateuristically. Please tell me this is not an actual production unit!

Oh, don’t even let me get started on reviewers who make a great video, but forget to properly put back the cover. I’ve seen many of those as well (But this is not one of those).

This is an engineering sample, it is not the final product.
M2 has been getting positive reviews so far.
I would definitely be interested in buying a P10 device, just now from Elephone/Ulephone/Umi/Doogee.
COME ON JIAYU, make that new flagship happen!

Engineering sample: I sure hope so for Elephone’s sake 🙂 So how do you know this? I didn’t see that info anywhere (Btw, if I were a manufacturer, I sure as hell would make it very sure to mention that when releasing a video like this).
