After an anticlimax on the 5th January, Letv fans in India waiting for an Letv phone are sure to not get disappointed the second time round.
The Chinese company has scheduled an even in Gurgaon, near the country capital of New Delhi on the 20th of January.
Take a look at the video below, shared by Ivan Wang, the Associate Director for Digital Marketing in the APAC region for Letv.
Not that it matters to most, but i wonder if this means we will start to see some official SAR values from LeTV. And an international version of the very popular LeTV 1s. I do want one.. but I’m a bit cautious of some of these cheaper chinese phones pumping out a little too much radiation for my liking :p
Ps., i was only able to get to this news story via the “home” page, and not the mobile phone section. It seems a few of the mobile phone stories are missing from the phones section of the website
Why do all Indian People always care so much about SAR Values? Honestly, why is this an important info when buying a phone for you?
I really hope that they launch INTL Version of EUI, I had to sell my LETV 1 because the rom vas unusable and switch to a MI4C
I also hope that this will lead to an international version of EUI. What made the phone unusable for you? I have no problems with mine other than the fact that it is a bit annoying to have all those Chinese apps like “live” etc and not be able to take advantage of them or have the option to uninstall them.
They talk a lot and they think higher SAR may cause health issues in the head when the talk and on balls when they carry in their pockets. ?
Oh man, you don’t know the half of it. I remember after the Lenovo K3 Note was launched, and when its SAR value was revealed as 1.59 for the Head, people were going bonkers over it. Like “don’t buy this phone, you will get cancer”, stuff like that was all over youtube comments. The max allowed was 1.6 and that being so close was supposedly too much. The storm lessened a bit later I guess when Lenovo responded that that number was an aggregate of when all radios were transferring data simultaneously and something or the other. Essentially, no danger!
But yes, Indians are very, concerned I should say, about this. Too many articles in the newspapers stating the health hazards of overexposure to cellphone radiation. I see them popping up at least once a month.
