Ulefone have put their money where their mouth is and made a battery drain test to of the Ulefone Power prove that their claims of 4 days of battery life are correct.
With pre-sales up and running and a shipping date of the 16th January, no one but Ulefone have their hands on the new Ulefone Power to see if the big battery phone really does have the capabilities they claim.
With a 6050mAh battery, Ulefone say that the average user can get through 4 days of usage on a single charge. But we all know talk is cheap, so Ulefone have gone a step future to assure customers the claims are true.
Gizchina News of the week
In the video above the Ulefone Power is subject to a couple of tests from video playback, gaming, and leaving the LED touch and display on. According to their finding the Power will drain just 5% of power when playing 30 minutes of 720p video. A 30 minute game of Asphalt 8 drains a similar amount.
Note: the video stops and starts as Ulefone say they needed to give their DSLR time to cool down.
What do you make of this test? What do you think the average size of a phone battery will be for 2016?
Notice something interesting… @3:58, you can see the status bar, the phone does not have sim cards installed, also during the video test loop and game playing, we don’t know if the plane is in airplane mode or not….for non-techies, no sim card or airplane mode means the RF modem is sleeping, hence shaving off quite some reasonable amount of energy being burnt. This does not apply to real-life test!!
Also, having 6,050 mAh can you please let us know the thickness and weight of this phone. Another thought came in mind, how long does it take to charge up the battery from 0 to 100 … make a video of that too .. 😉
Haha, sorry for your observation, you do not see ulefone power play online video? It is through the WIFI network in the play.
@Seven-pr aka Marketing executive of Elephone: Which part of my message you don’t understand… THE SIM CARD IS NOT INSTALLED! That means MODEM is not kicked on and it’s not as energy consuming as it’s supposed to be…ask your electronic engineer: Just the ‘standby time’ with and without sim cards are different already. Dual sim will use more power than one sim, and one sim uses more power than NO SIM CARD, when the phone is completely IDLE. Try putting in both sim cards, then use wifi to play the video then do a comparison …. Maybe, its a bit too difficulty for you to comprehend to this matter!
9.5mm thickness so quite a good job for such monster battery and weight is 190 grams as I remember.
