Hisense are still trying to break the Android phone market at home and abroad, a new dual camera release with the Hisense A1 might be just what they need.
Hisense are major players in the white goods market, they even have market recognition for their TV’s but their phones are a different matter. Hisense have always built good quality phones, but the level of hardware and support they offer is years behind the competition, yet they still try.
Their latest release is the Hisense A1, a phone which could put the brand on the smartphone map thanks to a dual rear camera design and knowing Hisense, pricing should be affordable.

The sleek phone boasts a 5 mega-pixel camera on the front with a 13 mega-pixel and 2 mega-pixel camera on the rear. Its not the first time we have seen a dual rear camera design, and it remains to be seen if Hisense’s solution improves camera capabilities or is nothing more than a gimmick.
Processor specifications haven’t been revealed but the phone is meant to have 3GB RAM and a 3000mAh battery somewhere inside that golden chassis, plus the physical home button will get fingerprint recognition.
Having another shitty gimmick to brag about
nothing if it doesnt come with a processor like the intel one in Project tango or the Helio X20.
If it does have one, then the dual cameras can be used for 3d scanning, after-photo changing of focus (a bit), fast and truer HDR, and fast focusing.
the X20 additionally allows live DOF effects.
Depends on implementation. HTC’s dual cam setup only using for depth measurement.
On the other hand it can be used for re-creating better images using 2 sets of images captured by 2 different sensors.
Toshiba and Corephotonics both have dual camera modules. Both producing 13MP images from two 5MP sensors. You can find a demo video for Corephotonics, though the guy explains, it isn’t clear how it works.
There was another company named Linx Imaging working on it which is later acquired by Apple less than a year ago.

everything guaire said, you can divide labour like in the qiku q terra one camera has a larger more refined light sensor to take in more light, maybe taking B&W photos for details, the other one for colours and then combining them
qiku q terra’s implementation(called a duoscopic camera, the only phone with it) is greater than htc’s phone or any other phone on the planet to this day… for now
amongst other things the camera will virtually have no loss of focus
Take 3D photos? But with 2 cameras of different MP, that’s hardly the case here…
