LeTV Le2 already in the planning stages, could run Helio X20

Being the first to get the Snapdragon 820 isn’t enough for LeTV who might also snatch up the Mediatek Helio X20 first too.

Just less than a year ago LeTV launch the Le1 (X600) with Helio X10, and while many will see the Le1S as its replacement the model number X500 would suggest otherwise. So does this mean a LeTV Le2 is on the way? Apparently so.

Media sources in China today are reporting that LeTV are intact working on the LeTV 2 which will sport the 10 core Mediatek Helio X20 chipset.

Gizchina News of the week

For those of you who don’t know, the Helio X20 is THE Mediatek chip to have for 2016 and has a 10 core architecture which lets the processor ‘change gears’ depending what work load it is put under. The X20 has a Mali T880 MP4 GPU, support for 32 mega-pixel cameras and Cat 6 LTE.

The above render is said to be of the new LeTV Le2 also and shows an all new sleek design with curved glass front at the top and bottom.

why is it called leeco nowadawys?

well i think its pretty obvious that they will do it like that, since the alst one was running the helio x10 and it sold pretty well so i guess the are good partners with mediatek now ^^

and it would only make sense to let their super flagship run the snapdragon 820 and the “midrange” the x20 like they did with their last versions Helio X10 and 810

They changed the name for the smartphone brand, since letv is obviously related with their straming services… Yet, I’m too much used to “letv”, and apparently so are gizchina’s writer 😀

agreed Letv S2 will have a X20 3/4GB Ram, Letv S2 Pro will have SD 820 4GB Ram same with the Letv S2 Max… if they follow last years concept, which worked quite well

All leEco phone models look ultra sexy in these model photos. But when they come to real life most of their phones resemble their previous models. For example leEco max and leEco max pro…(am not saying that leEco max or max pro looks bad. They are good looking phones)

LeT … Eco 1S (X500) looks sexier in hand than in picture.

No matter how well design and sexy is a phone, without LTE band4 network is like having an incomplete phone when live in Continental America or person frequent travel to America.
