We’ve started to see the roll out of Android 6 on devices much earlier than normal this past few months, and now Oukitel have sent over their planned releases.
If you have been following Android 6 developments over the past few months then you will no doubt have seen that a bunch of Chinese smartphones have been among the first to receive the Marshmallow flavoured update.
We’ve seen Android 6 launch on the OnePlus 2, with an update for the OnePlus X coming pretty soon. New comers ZUK have Android 6 in development based on their ZUI in China, but international users can already download a CyanogenMod CM13 ROM based on Android 6. Even Xiaomi Mi Note and Mi4 users received Android 6 based MIUI 7.1 last week.

So the big names are already in Marshmallow country but what about other brands?
Oukitel may have only started shipping phones just 12 months ago but they already have an impressive range of large battery devices on the market, and 3 of them are due an Android 6 update.
The company confirms that their K10000 (with huge 10,000mAh battery), K6000 and K4000 Pro will all get Android 6 soon with a ETA for the launch being the end of February. We’ll need a few details about the update such as will it need to be installed manually or will it come OTA, but either way it’s good news for anyone Ouktiel owner waiting for Marshmallow.
