The Coolpad Note 3 Lite is known as one of the most affordable 3GB RAM, fingerprint phones. While it comes from a Chinese brand, the phone is only available in India at the moment.
At 6,999 INR or $104, the Note 3 Lite is quite a steal. It packs 3GB of RAM as mentioned, along with a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, 5-inch 1280 x 720p display, 16GB ROM, 13 mega-pixel rear camera, 5 mega-pixel front facing camera, 2500mAh battery, and of course, a fingerprint sensor.
Gizchina News of the week
The folks at Fone Arena managed to open one up. Let’s take a look.
Not too shabby for a $104 gadget, eh?
We’re currently testing the Coolpad Note 3 Lite, and a full review should be coming in the next few days. Meanwhile, check out other reviews posted on GizChina here.
Uhmm.. The guy says ‘Made in India’, but when he takes off the back cover, it says “Made in China”?
The battery is made in China (that’s where the sticker is). Coolpad opened a factory in India last year. It really should be assembled in India as most of the parts are still coming from China.
I don’t mean the ‘Made in China’ on the battery (I hadn’t even noticed that one). I meant the one on the white coverplate. Other than that: Yeah, ‘Assembled in India’ was my thought too.
Well, come to think of it, actually, I think I’d prefer China 🙂 I mean: There’s much more of this stuff coming from China than from India (IMO), so one would think the Chinese have better experience.
Just look at elephone and doogee: years of bad experience, bit still not learning ?
Coolpad usually has higher standards, so doesn’t matter where they make the phone: it’ll still be better-than-average in matter of build 🙂
🙂 About the higher standards: Yes, that’s what I noticed about this teardown: That thing looked well-built.
It’s a usual thing for coolpad, that’s why I’m saying that “who” produce the phone is more important than “where” he does it 😀
I don’t have the exact numbers but if they made this phone entirely (or even a majority of the internals) in India and not in China, it’d cost way more than $104.
the term note has really no sense there, but coolpad stands always for great quality, especially when you avoid their extremely overpriced models. The cheaper ones are always among the very best.
Note is the latest industry buzz word that has completely lost it’s meaning. Like the words “pro”, “turbo” and “plus”.
Maybe an “htc whatever-letter whatever-number mini” will do: mini for the 4″ screen, but just as big as a regular 6″ because bezels, logo and stuff! ?
