The Honor 7 has been a fantastic device, not just for its buyers but also for Huawei.
The phone has sold well across the globe… which has meant that there’s lots of pressure on the Chinese company to release the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
News from Huawei HQ is that the phone will finally be receiving its Marshmallow OTA in the EU by the end of this month. This was revealed by Huawei in a series of tweets earlier today:
So, if you’re one of the many owners of this popular phone, keep an eye on the notification bar for the OTA news.

That’s really to see, in the past Huawei took aeons to update some devices. Personally Huawei is one of my favourites OEMs now (look the great Nexus 6P), but their software department needs a revolution, it always behind Miui or Flyme.
Their soft now – comparing to H6 for ex., seems like miles away now. They’re going in right direction even in this department.
I personally love the fact they mount uFlash slot and let users use it on the soft level, for apps installs, without further complicatoions.
Would not put it that way, it`s just different.
Flyme has many flaws as does MiUI(which like Touchwiz is a resource hog).
I have owned an Honor 6, Mate 7 and Honor 6+ and general software experience has been nothing short of good, not perfect, but nothing is.
They have built so many shortcuts and useful features(especially the camera controls are a breeze to use).
The EMUI has grown allot since back in the Jelly Bean days(where it was a big buggy)
Yeah good luck with Marshmallow. Huawei up to now has not fixed the notification issue with the Mate 8. Updates have been on going though.
JD had it for $150-ish yesterday on a short sale. I didn’t buy it … Oh, stupid me!
What an amazing deal!!!!!! 150 USD crazy price would have gone for it if I was aware of that deal.
They’re advertised as new, so if after arrival you discover something like that, you can apply for money return from JD, or PayPal.
But plenty people on a local forum I use, buy there and no one complained so far.
In general – these things can happen when dealing with Chinese re-sellers, so you should always consider using some extra security like PayPal, or ChargeBack (credit card).
