Vivo may have taken 2 years to produce the Vivo Xplay 5, but they are wasting no time in the build up to the launch scheduled for March 1st.
Just moments after releasing the 2nd teaser for the upcoming Vivo Xplay 5, the company released a second teaser confirming that the launch time of the flagship Vivo will be 19:30 on 1st March 2016!
This is pretty big news for fans of Vivo phones, and especially for myself as I have been looking for a replacement to the Vivo Xplay 3S for a long time. The Vivo Xplay 3S was launched over 2 years ago and was the first production phone with 2K display, and the first Chinese phone to get a fingerprint scanner, it also boasted a 13 mega-pixel camera, 3GB RAM and Snapdragon chipset.
Gizchina News of the week
Specifications for the Vivo Xplay 5 haven’t been confirmed, but teasers have mentioned a borderless design, and have also hinted at a curved display.
It is believed that Vivo will spec out the Xplay 5 with high-end hardware such as a 5.5-inch 2K 2560 x 1440 display, 8 mega-pixel front camera, 16 mega-pixel rear camera, HiFI audio equipment and a Snapdragon 820 chipset. It is also thought the new Vivo flagship could measure as little as 7.2mm thick.
Yeey. Finally!
About time, I just hope they stick with the 6″ form factor otherwise my 2 year wait would’ve been in vain and I will still be looking for my next phone.
I hope this leads to a new Xshot!
Once this is released I’m pretty sure the xshot will be next. I reckon we will see it by may.
