MediaTek’s MT6735-series of chipsets aren’t just cost-efficient, but also very power-efficient. Taking advantage of that, a lot of makers build phones around the SoC with large batteries to have a pronounced effect.
Cubot’s H2 is one such phone. The device has a 5.5-inch 1280 x 720p display, a MediaTek MT6735A 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board ROM.
Full spec list of the Cubot H2 includes besides the above mentioned a 13 mega-pixel camera on the rear (software interpolated to 16 mega-pixel), 5 mega-pixel camera on the front (software interpolated to 8 mega-pixel) and most importantly, a 5000mAh battery. All in a 9.1mm thick chassis (with overall dimensions of 149.9 x 76.5 x 9.1mm.
Network support on this dual SIM phone includes bands 850/900/1800/1900 on GSM, 900/2100 on WCDMA and B1/B3/B7/B20 on FDD-LTE.
Gizchina News of the week
The Cubot H2 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and is expected to go on sale in the coming weeks. Does it stand a chance against other big battery phones that have shown up in the recent past?
F*#%@ just bought the h1(has a 5200mah) for a friend too.. i can personally tell you the h1’s battery can give 8-9hrs SOT i dont expect anyless from the h2, the camera is not good though, the leagoo elite 5 is still the best camera in the 150$ and below price range
but now the redmi note 2 retails for less than $150 … so i guess that beats the Elite 5 , right ?
redmi note 2 is better in everything over the elite 5, the elite 5 is poorly built with dying screens and lots of hardware issues terrible phone imo, only has the camera going for it which is stunning still bad phone overall to me
If i may add, now gionee e7 is in tge 150$ price range now, and I think it’s better than everything else in camera department!
However i checked some reviews about the leagoo elite 5: not a single one of them speaks that good about the camera, but samples look very good to me! If it had a better audio, I’d have thought about the chance to get one!
It’s a nice overall phone, if you can get past the “no sw upgrade whatsoever” ?
Yes, it seems not that good after all (saw a review a couple of days back)
Okay thank you for the information! I was opting to buy one. I thought it was good.
I actually like them lol. Mostly because I am so sick of Silver and White. I want to see more color variety like the Blue and Pink that Sony is using (too bad their phones are terrible and expensive). I wish more phones would adopt a Moto Maker style where you can order it any color you want.
look at the latest mi5 it has a pale gold look, is it ugly to you?
