Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA for ZTE Axon Pro now seeding

ZTE’s answer to the rising popularity of ‘direct to consumer’ phones like the OnePlus 2 was the Axon (and variants). While the phone doesn’t seem to have done as well as the company would’ve liked, support for the device isn’t ceasing anytime soon.

This is evident from the fact that ZTE just released an OTA update to the Axon Pro.

The update brings Android 6.0 Marshmallow to the phone, and is 835MB in size.

If you haven’t received a notification for the update yet, you can manually try to fetch the update by going into Settings –> About Phone –> System Updates and then tapping on the ‘Update Now’ button.

The update also brings in a few features to the phone, including Doze and Now on Tap.

Remember to have your phone adequately charged before attempting to upgrade. You also want to be on a WiFi network rather than using your 3G or LTE data.
