Vivo are set to launch the all new Vivo Xplay 5 on the 1st March, and already have teased some impressive hardware, today they confirm another feature plus possible renders of the phone are shown.
Let’s start with the official news. From Vivo’s Weibo feed we have now learned that the Vivo Xplay 5 will feature an all new Hi-Fi solution called Hi-Fi 3.0. The exact details of this haven’t been revealed but its likely to use a couple of high end audio processors similar to what we have already seen on the Vivo X6 Plus and previous Vivo phones.
Gizchina News of the week
The unofficial, but perhaps more interesting news, are these renders of the phone. The images aren’t known to be official or not, but they do show a Vivo styled device with a curved glass display similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
So far Vivo have confirmed that the Vivo Xplay 5 will feature a Snapdragon 820 processor, 6GB DDR4 RAM, 2K curved display and Hi-Fi 3.0. Keep posted for more Vivo Xplay 5 news soon, and more from MWC.
Honestly, this phone is shaping up to be the one to beat even by the popular brands. If Vivo pulls this off, which I know is very possible for them judging by their history, they may really make buying Samsungs et al look stupid lol
In direct comparison, vivo has always been on par or better than major brands. The fact it’s that their price are high, which makes the whole “buying from china” thing totally worthless. Or, to be precise, the majority of the costumers usually ask themselves “is it worth to buy this at a price so high having no warranty whatsoever?”.
If you buy a Vivo from an authorized dealer it comes with an international warranty. I bought my Xshot online and was able to take it to a service center in Thailand when I had some issues with it. They said if I had any issues when I got back to the US I could just email the customer service and they would either find a local repair place or arrange to send it back to them. Their support was infinite times better than dealing with Samsung for my wife’s phone.
Why would you look stupid buying a Samsung they were the ones who made real strides in bringing curve displays to the masses. Vivo outside of China is a brand that is not that well known. Yet you can bet it will be of equal price or more to Samsung also it may not come with play store out the box or warranty. So some set ups will be required yes it looks good amazing in fact and the internals are great but Samsung has a proven name and rep and when your spend large amounts of money that counts for alot. Let’s wait for a review before we throw the baby out with the bath water
I disagree about the “not well known” outside of China. Vivo has stores in several countries throughout Asia, including in some of the biggest shopping malls in the world. If you said outside Asia I would agree with you.
Samsung makes some excellent phones for the money but the one thing I don’t like about them is Touchwhiz and their terrible software support.
Ok maybe i should clarify outside of Asia Sorry. Yes i understand not liking Touchwhiz i was addressing the point that this person somehow thinks that Samsung is redundant because Vivo has showed up with a curve display. part of the sucess of selling a mobile is also finding out what keeps you customer coming back for more and i am not saying that Vivo dont sell well but Samsung is known all across the world even if i have no intention of buying any of their handsets there must be a reason that people keep coming back for more. I had the the S6 edge at there seemed to be a terriable lag in the software but there were little updates that would fix issues so i never experieced the bad software support
Samsung is never going away. I love Samsung for their AMOLED dislays, I love Exnyos SoC’s, I am starting to like the ISOCELL sensors and I love their home products (TV’s, Washer/Dryer etc). But I just can’t get around to liking TouchWiz.
Bring the new Xshot soon.Please.
Amazing.
I pray this to be the real image. Looks super cool
