Xiaomi sends invites for 03.03 event in India

xiaomi redmi note 3 vs xiaomi redmi note 2

It was learnt a couple of days back that Xiaomi would launch the Redmi Note 3 in India next week.

Invites have now been sent to the media for the event. While the invites don’t tell much apart from the obvious, they do however reveal the significance of the date when the launch is supposed to take place.

The launch — of the Redmi Note 3 (Pro), if you haven’t been able to spot the elephant in the room yet —  will happen in New Delhi on the 3rd of March, which Xiaomi stylise as 03.03.

Known as the Redmi Note 3 Pro otherwise, the variant to be launched in India will not feature the MediaTek Helio X10 that you see on the initial Chinese variants of the phone. Instead, it’ll come with the hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 SoC.

There’s no word on how much it’ll cost in India. In China, the Snapdragon 650-powered Redmi Note 3 is 100 Yuan dearer.

You can find the full spec set of the Redmi Note 3 Pro here.

Let’s see if they can keep up with the demand.
Price will probably be 10999 INR for the 2/16GB version and 12999 INR for the 3/32GB version.

Because that’s a great phone and there’s really nothing else out there with the same quality and SD card slot.
So at the end customers complain about the lack of SD card but then they get what the market offers.

The market is huge there and there’s room for everybody.
I’m sure Xiaomi will do as good as LeTV or probably better.

Moot question really, i for one doubt Xiaomi commitment to supply really large numbers of Remi Note 3 Pro into Indian market. Letv is injecting really significant numbers of Le1s into a really hungry market, But Xiaomi have been too tardy in past.

            Simple question.
Do you really think they are fooling around?
The more they sell the more they make money. Why wouldn’t they sell as many units as they can?

LeTV is making big numbers in both China and India but they are still a small fraction comparing to Xiaomi and that’s why they might not face the same logistic issues that Xiaomi has.
To sell 1M of units is a thing and to sell 10M is another thing.

They are also trying to move the production out of China (in India and Brazil) for the int’l market.

They are going to sell on seconds every LeTV has been selling in like a month. Mark my words

Enen in its flash sale mode..Xiaomi was just putting 20 to 30k units for sale, i doubt if Xiaomi, if it takes flash sale route for Redmi Note 3 Pro, will muster 80k to 100k units per sale. Of course spurred by Letv take over of it’s market, it might do so, although, frankly i m doubtful.

Agree with @disqus_0lJZ8Bi7SK:disqus on that. When Le1s was launched in India, it was unbeatable in its price-to-performance ratio. Even handsets costing an additional $50-100 had less powerful hardware. If Xiaomi launches the Redmi Note 3 (Pro) at a comparable price, the Le1s will surely be kicked from its top spot just as easily as it kicked the K4 Note.

So you were expecting to pay less than what people pay in China?

Then I guess you’re not good at math, or either misinformed.

According to the official SITE the price of both versions of this phone are:

              999 CNY for the 2GB/16GB
              And
              1199 CNY for the 3/32GB

Now, if we use any online currency converter we have that:

              999 CNY = 10510 INR

              1199 CNY = 12614 INR

Now the simple math (we don’t need a calculator here):

              10510 > 999
              12614 > 11999
