In addition to a new design the OnePlus 3 will also see more traditional types of marketing implemented, and a new sales model to make it easier for fans to own the phone. Whether this means that the invite only system will be abandoned we don’t yet know.
Finally, it sounds like the big push will be for OnePlus in the U.S and the UK, as the company has started to hire staff and open offices in these markets.
Who cares? Oneplus is now an average for an overprice. No CyanogenMod, bugs they can’t fix for a years, invite and PR hype that is useless after they announce the price for OPPO clone. I do remember how they promised to change phone industry… sorry guys but you out of the flagship killer boat and in the end of innovation line.
Sure, then you get useless phone. For example, calc doesnt have histoy, there is no double tap to wake/sleep, cant customezie qick access panel, cant customize desktop icons layout, etc… Reasons i sold my op2 and got back to op1
After my OP1 experience I switched completely to using Nexus devices. I couldn’t be happier with the software support and the timely updates from Google.
Yes, this one wi be 2019 flagship killer, just likeop2 was 2016 flagship killer. What a joke from this company.
The thing they are missing is that when the OnePlus One arrived there were practically no phones in this class segment, now we have an abundance of Flagship Killers, so their take is no longer unique.
maybe they need to change their mindset and use the talent and stature they have ?
Xiaomi and Meizu had flagship killers for years before OnePlus was even a company. They didn’t revolutionize anything they copied what competitors were already doing. What they are missing is CM, without CM they would have been just another Chinese phone. That is what put them on the map and got them press time in the West and Europe.
i agree. and of course, they made a phone that worked with US frequencies. that was pretty huge factor for me. i actually didn’t buy any OP phones, even though I was a pretty early supporter (member 4479 on the website). I remember arguing on the forum with people about how OP was just copying Xiaomi marketing techniques.
I am inclined to think OP is a lost cause, at least for me. but I will be watching to see what they come up with for the OP3
Marge: “Homer, a man who called himself ‘you-know-who’ just invited you to a secret ‘wink-wink’ at the ‘you-know-what’. You certainly are popular now that you’re a Stonecutter.”
Homer: “Oh yeah, beer busts, beer blasts, keggers, stein hoists, AA meetings, beer night, it’s wonderful, Marge. I’ve never felt so accepted in all my life. These people looked deep within my soul and assigned me a number based on the order in which I joined.”
BTW, I was number 209. Do I get a prize for that? O:-)
I fail to agree OnePlusOne was before the M1 Note, Mi4i. Only flagship killer at that time was the Honor 6.
If you ar reffering to the Redmi Note that is hardly a flagship worthy device, remember the One+ had an SD801(the top chip at the time) and 3GB of Ram and 64GB, nothing like that had ever been released for under 400$, it was unheard of at the time.
Also the OnePlus 2 had an SD810 which was very avoided at the time of release due to heating problems, which might have made customers not bank on it.
Should have stuck the 808 in there and made the phone 50$ cheaper, would have made better sales in my oppinion.
I am referring to the Xiaomi Mi3 which had a SD800 (top chip at the time) and 64GB for under $400 and was launched in 2013 before OnePlus officially existed.
