Want to see what the world’s first 6GB RAM Snapdragon 820 phone looks like in the flesh? Here are the first hands on photos.
If you missed the news yesterday then you won’t have seen the release of the Vivo Xplay5 smartphone, the world’s first 6GB RAM Android phone. The handset was launched in two versions, the Xplay5 with 4GB RAM and Snapdraogn 652, and the Xplay5 Elite with 6GB RAM and Snapdragon 820. The Elite also has a more potent audio spec sheet too.
Visually both phones are the same with Gold or Pink metal unibody designs, fingerprint scanner on the rear, 16 mega-pixel camera, and a curved 5.43-inch 2K Super AMOLED display from Samsung.

Not having had the curved phone in my hand I can’t really get a feel of what it really looks like, but I do hope to get one next month. In the meantime what do you think of this ‘super phone’? Could you see yourself living with one?
I’m doubt they can motivate their pricing if they are aiming for international buyers… Buut I guess they’re big in the Asian market so people will buy it anyway.
Merimobiles isn’t a fake site lol. I have ordered a few phones from them, in fact they (along with 1949deal) are one of my go to sites for new phones. Most resellers sell phones for between a 15-30% markup depending on the brand, this one is just under 20% so the price really isn’t that ridiculous for a reselle (keep in mind the retail price of this phone is over $650).
this shop is in france ?
the price is not good ..
but you can buy it ..
They are based in Hong Kong but they ship to France.
I won’t buy it because I have no interest in this phone, but for a reseller a 20% markup is normal. What do you expect to pay on a reseller? They can’t sell phones for retail prices they would never make any money.
Well
why would i buy from reseller when I buy phones straight from hong kong ?? on aliex ?
I have purchased Vivo X3S W loong time ago straight when it first came out for £300 on aliex. and Vivo X5 Pro D straight when it came out .. I asked discount from £300 to £250 but he agreed £280
Vivo X5 Pro very good phone I have UHD photography ..
NONE smartphone supports that one picture has 20MB …
Personally I don’t buy from Ali or any site that won’t accept Paypal.
why ? i never had issues with visa even i had refunds and all was ok
I don’t trust them at all and I had some issues with “trusted” sellers on there selling fake product. I avoid them for phone sales, only buy small ticket items (cases, batteries etc) from them now.
I purchased vivo phones ant they been great.. but purchased S6 edge in january for £280 had issues with gps but I fixed it ..
I had same issues, but as long as you can open disputes everything is ok, I find paypal way more complex and annoying to open disputes than ALipay. For example, My 60″ Mi TV broke yesterday and now I’ve filed a claim against the seller for a refund
Paypal is incredibly easy to deal with. Anytime I have a dispute they refund my money almost immediately, most here that use them will say the same. There have even been times I got refunds weeks after purchases because the seller didn’t honor the warranty. I have never had an issue with paypal.
Okay I’ve not had much to do with refunds in paypal, but could you just buy something from gearbest for expample, and when it doesnt arrive, you choose “hasnt arrived” in your PP and open up a claim, then it refunds automaticly? WIthout gearbest saying its ok or not?
What usually happens is you fill out a claim with Paypal they research it and they usually refund you within 48-72 hrs. But if you ordered the phone last week and the estimated delivery time was 7-10 days they probably won’t approve it. It has to be a reasonable claim.
So i had these orders that sellers sometimes have tracking no. that says “delivered” although I never received it. Would paypal also refund me then, if it says delivered even though it never has?
Most likely yes if they say it was delivered and you never got it. But they will check with the postal service or DHL, they will have a record of where and when they delivered it.
Thanks for all the info. I have to say that gearbest has a ridicolous delivery deadline…3months until you get refund approved from customer service. It only takes this long to arrive when you live in South america…(I always choose free shipping/yanwen)
Yea a lot of people I know have had issues with Gearbest. I like Merimobiles, 1949deal and Honorbuy the best. Honorbuy also runs the Gizchina Shop.
But I have to say gearbest has the best prices on Xiaomi gadgets, that why I mostly order Xiaomi Gadgets there and Xiaomi phones and hardware on DX. (Bcs of the warranty). I’ve also heard good things about your sites, but tbh i’ve never ordered something from there. I should check’em out tho sometime
There is a pretty good site called Kimovil.com, they gather all the prices from around the web and list them by cheapest. They dont’ always have all shops listed but it is a good starting point.
