Elephone are releasing the 2nd phase of the Elephone P9000 range, this budget version lacks a few of the features of the original but has the same RAM and Helio P10 chipset.
Elephone kicked of the year with their fastest phone launch to date. Not only did they leak and tease a new phone in super fast time, but they also managed to get the device on the market within just a few months (a record for them).
That phone was the Elepehone P9000, but as any Elefan (is that even a thing?) knows there were meant to be 3 variants of the phone so where are the other two? Well we can’t speak for the borderless flagship variant, but the budget Elephone P9000 Lite has already hit stores and is available right now.
There are some major differences between the Elephone P9000 and Elephone P9000 Lite. For one the Lite version of the phone has a plastic chassis rather than metal, and there is no fingerprint scanner or laser focus for the rear camera.
Gizchina News of the week
On the hardware side the P9000 Lite uses a 5 mega-pixel front camera and the 13 mega-pixel rear is from Omnivision not Sony.
What remains the same on the new Elephone P9000 Lite is the very good 5.5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, 4GB RAM, Mediatek Helio P10 chipset and USB Type C.
The colour and finish on this version of the Elephone P9000 Lite is also different with a glossy white finish rather than sandstone black.
