Yes, that’s correct! Meizu are testing their staff’s knowledge on the yet to be released Meizu M3 Note phone.
The following questionnaire has been handed out to Meizu staff to test their knowledge of the companies upcoming smartphone. The multi choice quiz also helps to shed some light on what specs the new phone might have.
There are no definitive clues here other than the new M3 will have a screen larger than 5-inches, will feature Meizu’s Mback and that the main rivals for the phone are the Xiaomi Mi4S and Mi4C.
The possible answers are quite interesting and could mean a Meizu M3 with battery size of up to 3500mAh , full network support, and either a Mediatek or Snapdragon chipset.
Gizchina News of the week
We would guess that the Meizu M3 will feature a 5.5-inch FHD display like previous versions, and Mediatek Helio P10 processor as it is unlikely that Meizu will use a Qualcomm chip in their budget phone while the Pro 6 is confirmed to use a Helio X25 CPU.
From the questionnaire what features would you chose for the next budget Meizu?
Hey please read my long listed topic, ((“overkill” is all over it so don’t mind it))
What am I missing besides greedy business sense???
And would you like to have something similar if the design and price was decent?
Or you just could not live with the combination of features? What would you change?
I know you are very educated in tech and stuff, that’s why I ask, because I’m not.
Maybe just a few thoughts since i could ponder for days about it.
I would want 0 bezels all around including upper and lower and , if we go crazy, foldable screen – that would have to be OLED and then i would insist on a RGB stripe not Pentile. Foldable would also likely mean that the aspect ratio when folded might be better at 4:3, to not have a square when unfolded.
Upper and lower bezels and foldable screen wrapped around the phone would mean no room for the cams so a pop-up cam would be needed and if we go this way we might as well have more than 2 sensors for 360 VR video. And i would hope that the quantumfilm sensors from InVisage turn up as great as they could be. For 360 video a bunch of mics would be needed too, 3D audio matters.
On the SoC side i would want 2 big cores at high clocks, 4 big cores at lower clocks for gaming (to save power and allow more room for the GPU) and a bunch of smaller ones. I would also like a neuromorphic compute unit and an OS that takes good advantage of it..For the SoCs packaging i would want FOWLP with the memory next to the SoC not in PoP. Lets go crazy again and after the RAM use some PCIe/NVM/e connected Xpoint. Some NAND for the sake of it and ofc a microSD slot.
Don’t like biometrics as i see them as weak security, i’m ok with IR blaster and i like wifi ad so would be nice to have that. I do want the touch screen to work with gloves and in high humidity.Pressure sensitive touch is ok but the software needs to take better advantage of it. Integrating things like a satellite emergency beacon and an air quality sensor could be interesting.
If the screen would not be foldable, i would like solar on the back, for just in case.
Anyway, just having some fun with some quick thoughts while wishing for things we might get in some years. Right now phones are a bit boring overall. The SoC market is fun this year ofc but other than that , not much.
Wonderful 😀 see there’s some fun in making wish lists …
Now, meizu and Verne said they could end up using 6gbRAM do you think it is possible??? Even if it is just for bragging rights???
Maybe but likely with complications. Not sure if anyone makes 6GB LPDDR3 in a single package, you barely have such a product for DDR4.
Not sure you even want 6GB LPDDR3, could get iffy for battery life if you actually use it.
