Elephone have released a stock Android 6.0 update for the Elephone P9000 that brings important fixes to the phone.
The updates, version 20160304, has been released and is available for manual download over on the Elephone forums.
The update is an important one and brings plenty of fixes and optimizations to the phone in areas where we really do need to see improvement. According to the change log the camera has been optimised for better image quality and that fingerprint scanner has been updated for better speed and accuracy.

Not sure how it looked previously, but it seems not coping well with bad light. The pic with flower vase shows algorithm hiding low light originating noise is way over agressive. Looks bad.
It still needs optimization. But before it wasn’t even capable of doing a single sharp picture.
Hmm indoor pictures certainly look better now but I’m not convinced. This phone is going really cheap now (£150) and I need an upgrade from my Lenovo K3 Note.
Who will even believe them?
