Xiaomi launched their curved smart TV today featuring a monster 65-inch screen and a body that’s thinner than the iPhone 6S!
The 65-inch Xiaomi TV boasts a curved display from Samsung and Xiaomi hope the TV will take over many living rooms in China and have made the lifestyle product as thin as possible to ensure it can fit in to the smallest of spaces.
At 8999 Yuan ($1390) it’s much more expensive than the TV3S also launched today, but with the large price, and large screen comes a higher 4K resolution too.
An MStar 6A928 quad-core chipset with Mali T760 GPU gives the TV a boost in graphics and supports 10-bit H.265 4K / 60fps decoding. There are 2GB of DDR3 dual channel RAM, and 8GB of eMMC 5.0 storage too.
Gizchina News of the week
4 x 2.5-inch woofers drive Dolby DTS audio in to the living room.
Like other Xiaomi TV’s don’t expect Xiaomi to launch their curved display TV outside of China.
Just contacted my trusted ali-seller, they’ll have it in stock 5 April. Cant wait for it. (I could review it on gizchina as guest if the people here want to see a review)
For that price I can go to my local retailer and get an LG Curved 65.
That was the home theatre edition if you take the regular one itll be around 300$ less. I believe the endprice will be lower. We just have to wait and see
Also I dont buy Xiaomi TVs because their “cheaper” than regular brands. I buy them because of the MIUI TV OS and design. Love all the services on there
Most of the services are useless outside of China though.
You know Xiamo makes a tv box, right? Connect it to any tv and you got the os and all the services.
If in China by all means, get one, otherwise it would turn into a absolute warranty nightmare if anything goes wrong with it. Can’t imagine what it would cost to ship it back to China and then for them to ship it back to you again (you know that won’t be free, right?) not to mention how much time the whole process will take.
You hear enough warranty nightmares (including shipping costs) about people just sending their phones back to China.
You’ll get full refund with no send back.
I’m not talking about DOA (shipping insurance, duh) but if it has a problem say 3 months after you received it.
Then you can contact aliexpress customer service and they get in touch with you and help
And that’s when your nightmare begins.
Hey will your ali-seller ship to Africa (Nigeria to be exact)? I love this TV. Would wanna buy it too.
yes, but you need to check with him a´how much shipping it will cost, for tvs only dhl shipping is available
For me, televisions are like home appliances; I still prefer to go to a big box store to buy them just for peace of mind if anything goes wrong.
