The Oukitel K10000 is waterproof too?

Oukitel’s flagship phone does have plenty going for it, from the huge 10,000mAh battery to the tough metal chassis, but could it be waterproof too?

Waterproof or water resistance was never a feature that Oukitel claimed the K10000 had when they originally launched the large battery phone, but in the above video it seems that they are quite confident it can survive submerged in water for at least a short while.

The video shows the K10000 dropped in to a muddy puddle, rinsed off then torn down to expose any damage that might have happened. Oukitel have also made a similar video showing the K6000 smartphone going through a similar water torture test (see below)

Shame for the entry level SoC, this phone paired with a P10 at 299$ would have been an ideal choice for lots of people who like to live dangerously and have some fun with their smartphone as well.

The first video actually shows that some water and dirt did get in … Only a tiny bit of water is enough to destroy the phone – even if it doesn’t happen instantly after dropping it into a puddle.
