In the time old tradition of pre sales, Ulefone today started theirs for the Vienna phone offering the device at $169.99, rather than the full retail price of $199.99.
Pre-sales for the Ulefone Vienna kicked off today and will continue to the 12th April, after this date the price will hike up to the full $199.99 asking price.
During the presale though the phone will cost $169.99 and will ship with a ‘mystery gift’ worth $10, so all in all a $50 saving.
The Ulefone Vienna is the first audio-centric phone from Ulefone and the first we have seen from smaller tier smartphone venders so far. The device will ship with a NXP Smart Audio PA audio chipset behind a 5.5-inch 1080p Sharp display.

Actually doesn’t look all that bad, I would guess the mystery gift is some sort of headphones or speaker given the audiocentric nature of it.
Well i guess it’s not earphones or speaker, because USD10 earphones or speaker will hardly be good quality. And people who use them with the Vienna will conclude that the Vienna is not Hi-Fi at all. If Ulefone is smart enough, they’ll recommend good earphones or speakers instead of giving medicro ones for free.
You are right USD10 earphone can’t be that good. But good earphones are not neccesarily every expensive. I’m using SoundMagic E10, a chinese brand which cost USD40 but it is really HiFi. I’ll consider Vienna if the reviews turn out to be good.
If they were really smart they would partner up with a good headphone manufacturer and offer a combo package.
It all depends on the money, any company will partner up if it makes financial sense.
speaking of rectangular blocks with speakers, you guys not gonna cover the vkworld T3 they claim that they have the biggest speakers in a phone ever, thats a bit news worthy in my opinion
Haha, yes, T3 has a great voice of the speaker, it is estimated simply loud, not good sound quality. In addition to loud sound, headphones and speakers sound output quality is also very important.
since ive never owned the t3 or that it isnt out yet i wouldnt know its quality, my initial comment was to show that it is news worthy at least in my opinion, maybe you could lecture me on other phone estimations as well while your at it, maybe you can tell me that chinese phones are cheap but overall phone quality is also important?
Anyway, i will not rely on phone speaker when it comes to HiFi, because it is impossible for phone speaker to be high fidelity. I care more whether the audio chipset can offer enough drive to my earphones and deliver clear, off-noise, harmonic-rich sound.
1. thats you and i get it but there seems to be more than one person on earth .. although im not too sure of more people being on this earth
2. speakers have adnvantage of bass. more precisely SUBWOOFER bass there is NO headphone equivalent to this, and if you didnt know some genres of music sounds way better “subwoofed”
3. some people prefer speakers, hence why they hype of boomsound in htc and front facing speakers
