The Vernee Thor might be a budget phone, but that hasn’t stopped the brand from taking the phone and comparing it to more expensive rivals.
Vernee plan to disrupt the Chinese smartphone market this year with their 6GB RAM, Helio X20 powered Apollo phone (costing $399.99) and their more affordable Thor model.
Today the Thor gets to star in its own video comparing the device against more popular, and expensive phones like the iPhone 6S and Moto X.
In the photos and video you can see the Vernne has a very dark display compared to the Moto X and not to far behind the iPhone 6S.

Vernee says that the 5-inch on-cell display of the Vernee Thor helps with a better off-screen appearance and also promise that the phone will boast ‘high-definition colours’. The Vernee Thor will be available in April when Meizu, LeTV, and a host of other phone makers are set to launch new phones.

lol. Whats funny is that in one of the videos released by Ulefone shows their CEO using an Iphone.
I have 3 things to say about this:
1. This isn’t the only phone to claim they are using more than 4 with the X20.
2. This was one of the phones on hand at the Mediatek X20 unveiling, suggesting they worked very closely with Mediatek.
3. This happens a lot of with Intel chips, companies use more RAM than the “max”.

not to mention how many smartphones mention 32 gb max sd card compatablity, when in reality its 128. Two different things from a technical viewpoint but it shows that you cannot really trust everything you read to be correct.

What will this phone lack then? I can answer – the phone rear camera will not be in par with Moto X and it will not even get any close to the quality of pictures 6s provides.
Other than that it sounds like a decent phone, the thing is Zopo will have a very similar model and we do already know the brand and know what to expect. Why risk buying some Vernee nobody knows? I hope they are ready for this kind of comparison, rather than for the one in the video.
Unless Vernee show something extraordinary, they will not have it easy starting their own brand.

Most likely using a decent AMOLED panel(not SUPER AMOLED). If that is the case, it might not be a bad phone at that price, considering that the 6753 is still enough for everything at 720p.
Uhm it is not even on the same hardware level with iphone 6s and moto x so how to compare except for marketing gimmics ?
As for the software ,both iphone and MotoX are much better than most of China made Android OS (i’m talking about those china Android that bloated with adwares and hidden trojan/malwares)
Although i am stupid but I am quite logical and technical person so i already did my little homework before my comments. this is like a comparison between David and Goliath. But on this case, the goliath confirmed is on the winning side.

Any updates on the Thor? I can’t find any real reviews (I’m interested in camera the most as I’m not really playing any games). I’m kinda thorn between Thor and Xiaomi Redmi 3 (or MI4C but with 2gb and only 16gb)… I had a terrible experience with Ulefone Be Touch 2 and I kinda lost my faith in Chinese less known brands…
