Probably would have been better with a P10 to make it more attractive. There’s already a plethora of last year’s phones and older, on the market and cheap.

Yeah my thoughts exactly with a better SoC this could have been something to compete with the Redmi 3

        TRUE!

no one can promise the good stability of P10 devices now, i think we should be await and see what would happen.

mtk 6753 is a washed out and boring model now … people are lusting for the p10 and there’s no other way to sway market/customer mindset towards the phone except use a BETTER processor (aka , the mind of the phone)

          April 2, 2016

my opinion is that mt6753 is stable, if we need some devices with stable performance with nice price, has no any other choices to phone makers to choose, you think ?

            April 2, 2016

what makes you think p10 will be ‘unstable’ in any sense?
im interested in hearing what you think on the matter

            • Tonyle
              April 2, 2016

i didn’t say it’s unstable, i mean few people tried the P10 devices so that we don’t know how it is. let’s be await.

You have a lot of hate for the 6753 lol. Have you ever actually used one? It’s a really good budget SoC.

            nope. im too poor :'(
but from the reviews (and my personal experience of owning one) if there’s a weak GPU , it kinda brings the whole lot down :/

Mt6753 really has the capacity to satisfy most of your needs on a smartphone.

and with a $140 price tag … it could have been a winner !

Even with these cinematic close-ups Thor looks boring and generic.

this is a 100 dollar phone (what it presells for) has a 5 inch screen, MT6753, 2800 mah battery a fingerprint scanner. This phonethe best value 5 inch smartphone Ive seen. I dont think it looks ugly nor great.

This phone has exactly the same hardware as a nearly one year old Elephone P6000 Pro which is widely available for the same price…

I got two P6000 Pro and another “normal” P6000 in my nearer surroundings (family/friends) and all work like they should

But thats not the point… The point is that this “Thor phone” is hyped beyond reality while offering one year old generic midrange specs at a completely unspectacular price point

        • balcobomber25
          April 2, 2016

Everyone I know that had the 6000 didn’t make it past the 6 month mark without some major component failure (most didn’t make it 3 months).

And this has something the 6000 doesn’t have, a fingerprint scanner. I would say this is a better value.

      • Muhammad Yasir
        April 2, 2016

nope … it WILL be the best value phone once they present themselves in PHYISCAL forms in the market !
right now … we don’t have a clue what their phones are like , how good is the processing power , what the cams are capable of … we could go on and on …

they NEED to present themselves first !

        • balcobomber25
          April 2, 2016

I understand most of what you are saying except processing power, we already know what the 6753 is capable of.

            but .. games ?

            • Marco Lancaster
              April 2, 2016

The MT6753 hold the games at Playstore, you may notice frame drops here or there in the most intensive ones, but it still holds it. And I say that in FullHD. With a HD res the GPU will work much more aliviated.

            • Muhammad Yasir
              April 2, 2016

im talking about FHD games… the good ones i.e most technologically , visually and methodically advanced ones !

            • Marco Lancaster
              April 2, 2016

Well… you won’t play FHD games on this one, no matter its soc, as it have a HD display 😛

              April 2, 2016

99% of the games on the Play Store can be played on even budget SoC’s, even some of the most physically demanding games are still playable on low settings.

            • Muhammad Yasir
              April 2, 2016

              (PC gamer here again)
im TIRED of gaming at budget settings , my last rig .. the good ole Bessie lasted me 3+ years (June 2010 – October/November 2014) was a Pentium 4 (LGA 775 so i took advantage of hyper-threading for games lusting after dual cores !) , an ATI Radeon 4650 HD with 512 MB Dedicated VRAM , a resonating amount of ram ( it was any where b/w 1gb , 2gb and 1.7 Gb due to failing second-hand RAMs at various points in Bessie’s lifetime) , a CRT Monitor , 80 GB HDD , a generic INTEL motherboard (i don’t remember the model , probably a G975 or something ) and a 350w PSU with a Dell Tower for casing (it was a refurb US PC that is usually exported to Countries like Pakistan) .

the BEST DEMANDING game i was able to run on it was Just Cause 2 i think , altho i did play Dishonored on it as well (that was an EPIC game , boy i love everything about THAT!) … The Witcher 2 caused one of my RAMs to go bad , after it tried to run it at EXTREMELY low settings but with dwindling success (less than 10 fps :/ ).

so , Mr.Balco , the entire purpose of this vent/rant/confession was to expression my disillusion and detest of gaming a low and budget settings. im tired of it and i would ATLEAST like a $200 mobile phone to hold good for games at FHD with HIGH settings ! not that we’re concerned but Vernee thor only , but i really wanted you (and any other friends reading this) to know 🙂 .

As a console gamer there is very little on Android that actually excites me in terms of gaming, and the few titles that I will play can be run on the most basic phones.

that’s true, xiaomi redmi note 3 has great price performance.
but compared with the price $119 Thor, we could have more choices i think personally.

Where does this brand come from? Meaning who is the parent company…

    • balcobomber25
      April 2, 2016

Shenzen New-Bund Technology is their parent company. In China though a lot of companies will use numerous shell companies and it can be a challenge finding out who actually owns it.

Vernee company is a lie, they continue to launch propaganda Helio X20 + 6GB RAM phone, but Helio X20 supports only up to 4GB RAM, so had to wonder whether Vernee is a professional mobile phone brand, as they appear in the phone knowledge very ignorant. Even their official website on January 24 was established. You can not determine whether it still exists in the next quarter, if you buy the phone will have service.

    • Tony Lee
      April 2, 2016

you really did a lot analysis about them, what your purpose here ? i think people will check out the truce that this brand is a liar or not, people can tell the right and wrong, stop your spam posing here and keep the world quite, ok ?

        April 5, 2016

MTK MT6797’s official website has stated that it supports up to 4GB RAM. And they actually said that the use of 6GB RAM, for a mobile phone company, they do not even know this? And you can find their website registration time, what is the problem?

    • highwind

Is this another company that will disappear within 2 years? Because that is usually how it goes for companies like this. Release an affordable phone, have zero software support for it, release another phone and have zero support for that one as well. Then fade into darkness a year later.
