OxygenOS 2.2.1 for the OnePlus X now seeding, brings security fixes & more

OnePlus’ budget-yet-premium OnePlus X just received the OxygenOS 2.2.1 OTA update.

Before you owners of this phone get too ahead of yourselves, let me break it to you that there’s still no Marshmallow in this OTA. You’ll probably have to wait a few weeks more.

Coming to what the ROM brings, it contains a host of bug fixes and then a few important security updates.

Gizchina News of the week

According to Android Authority, OxygenOS 2.2.1, the update features an “unspecified Android security patch”. Besides that, there should be the usual fixes identified by Google.

Among the bug fixes that this update brings, there’s the all-important workaround for when the app drawer wouldn’t load when the Google Search Bar was set to hidden. Other bug fixes include fixes for data leaks (reported by some users on roaming), auto-mute mic on Hangouts, and more.

I think they should create a discount because the price is too high when you compare with other products, the MI4C cost $170 and this Oneplus X $300 (EU version).

Too expensive, I’d rather go for redmi note 3 pro, much cheaper and maybe slightly better.
      Ps : I own it.

It’s customizable from zero (I heard) and doesn’t have crapp apps that you can’t uninstall, but it’s way too pricey.
