Mi Fan Festival: Xiaomi claims to have sold over 100k gadgets

xiaomi mi5 unboxing

Mi Fan Festivals are Xiaomi’s way of commemorating their foundation anniversary, i.e., 6th April each year.

It turns out that Xiaomi’s buyers (aka ‘fans’) chimed in to support their favourite brand also… at least in India they did.

Xiaomi claims to have sold over a cumulative total of 100,000 phones, accessories and gadgets on the Mi Fan Festival day. The festival also saw the Mi 5 (read review here) and the 20,000mAh power bank go on sale in India for the first time.

Besides that, other phones and power banks were put on sale as well. The newly launched Redmi Note 3, ex-flagship Mi 4, the Mi Pad tablet, among other power banks were offered.

A couple of bundle deals including the Mi Band and Mi In-Ear Headphones bundle for Rs 1,598 seemed to be quite a hit among buyers as well.

If you are saying MI claims to sold 100K i think it just a fake numbers sailing the device is not a big deal but to deliver the device is a real big challenge in which MI is failed. Its not only me their are many others who are awaiting for the dispatch of their orders, they are not even prepared for 1000nos as well i booked the order on 6th April on MI festival till now the order status is DC to ship it means they are awaiting for the stock in warehouse then they will be dispatching it to the consumers. Even Hugo barra is silent on the mail no replies.

I had booked a RN3 2/16GB version on the 1st sale itself (on mi.com), on a Wednesday. Uptil thursday evening it was processing. But on Friday, I was pleasantly surprised to find the courier at my doorstep. Have little patience. It happens.

They must have told you that delivery will be in 4-7 business days. At least give them that time frame. After that you can charge them at your will.

One day? So you think they can send all the phones in just 1 day? Are you crazy? No one can send them in just 1 day. Even Amazon can’t ship that quantity. Be patient, take some tea, read some magazines, watch Daredevil, take some rest and wait a week at least to start complaining. Outside India and China people must wait a month or two to get a Xiaomi phone.

You’re writing and Email to Hugo Bara because it has been a whole day and you’re order hasn’t shipped yet? I could understand if it was a week, but most websites even say it takes 3-5 days of processing before they ship it.
