Meizu Pro 6 leaks complete with Antutu

Russian tech site mobiltelefon.ru, have some how managed to get their hands on photos of the unreleased Meizu Pro 6 and here are the live photos.

The Meizu Pro 6 is set to launch in just 2 days, but already the cat is out of the bag thanks to Russian phone site mobiltelefon.ru, who have managed to find photos of the upcoming phone via a Ukrainian tipster.

As we can see in the photos the design is unmistakable Meizu, but with the new LED ring, and antenna design on the rear. We can also see that the 3.5mm headphone jack has been moved to the base of the phone and that the Pro 6 has a USB Type C (which might be attached to a fast charging feature).

The all metal body of the phone appears to be thin with a slightly protruding rear camera, and a physical home button (with fingerprint scanner on the chin).

The leaks show us everything from a physical standpoint, but to get in to even more detail Antutu has been ran on this sample confirming some of the hardware features ahead of launch too.

Among the features that Antutu have proven are a 1920 x 1080 FHD display, 4GB RAM, 32GB internal memory (64GB), Mediatek Helio X25, Android 6.0. The specs also tell us the Meizu Pro 6 has a 21.2 mega-pixel rear camera and 4.9 mega-pixel front camera. As were on Antutu the score of the phone is reading as 91165.

So with all those details out in the open all we need to know now are the battery size, if the phone has SD support or not and how much the Meizu Pro 6 is going to be.

Earlier this month Meizu launch the Meizu M3 Note which offers simlar specs for a much lower price. The M3 Note also has a FHD display, all metal body, and fingerprint scanner, but runs a Helio P10 and 13 mega-pixel main camera.

The M3 Note is already selling well in China and resellers around the web are already offering the phone for international customers from 195.99 Euros for the 16GB version to 221.47 Euros for the 32GB version.

480 Dpi… Means 4.6 inch screen
I was hoping for a 5.2+ screen… Any clarification from the Russian website Andy?

  That was my thought too but then I ran Antutu on a 5.5 inch phone and got the same 480dpi.

  nah, the DPI is not necessarily correct. The DPI is just a setting to control the size and spacing of the UI. You can change it with root permissions and get more rows or a tablet-like interface if you like. The majority of GFXbench leaks these days read as having 4.6″ screens and then they turn out to be 5.5″ or bigger.

  Flyme integrates the home button into the OS. It is a multi-functional home button, swipe left to go back, click to go home, long press for voice recognition etc. I really couldn’t imagine using Flyme without the home button.

I do like the performance of the Meizu Pro 6. The Helio X25 does beat the Snapdragon 820 in the CPU dept though. But the Graphics also is more than any current game will ever need to play fluently.

Sadly no mention of OIS once again. Don’t get why meizu keep leaving it out. Still nice to see a 5.2 inch handset. I’m definitely considering it for my next phone.

  The camera details do pretty much confirm one thing though, they are using the Sony IMX 230 sensor that was used on the Pro 5.

Now I think meizu play dirty smart marketing game.. They will release device at least every four months, considering 5.2 inch phone .. Now this device is targeting xiaomi mi5 and iPhone SE , maybe they will poll back MX release for high-end 5.5 inch or maybe replacing it with 5.7 inch .

  It looks like that is a Mi5 laying face down in the picture (but could be the Mi Note they have the same rear design and camera layout). If it is then it is at least 5.2.

  While I despise Antutu this is one instance in where it is actually useful, the score means nothing but the specs at least confirm some details.

Assuming this is real (I have been burned by too many fakes in the past) it has two major advantages over the Mi5, the black borders aren’t ridiculous on the white version and the home button doesn’t look out of place. The home button on the Mi5 looks terrible (and I love home buttons), almost like it was added in at the last minute.

Judging by audio jack and USB Type-C port it looks like a very small phone. Seems to me even smaller than iPhone 6s at every dimension.

    Judging by the Mi5 is not really possible because of perspective.
    Look at how it looks comparison to 6s and 6s Plus when normalized by audio jack.
    You can measure the width of the device judging by its audio jack and USB Type-C port.

  It’s very big for 5.2 inch at 147.7 x70.8 x 7.25mm , 160g.
  The Galaxy S7 is 142.4 x 69.6 x 7.9 mm and they don’t even try to maximize the screen to body ratio.
  Meizu is yet again copying Apple. Big upper and lower bezels and small battery to enable a thin phone because people whine about battery life but they go and buy thin phones. Samsung started copying this in 2015, Xiaomi this year with the MI5, it’s an epidemy lol.

      That all might be because of the pressure touch. We don’t know what they are using but if it’s similar to what Apple is using, the display would be thicker and 15-20 grams heavier.

195.99 Euros should fetch nothing less than 130,000 on AnTuTu v6.
This is basically a disaster, no matter the argument against AnTuTu.
The difference from scores of current flagships is way too high, and even in an absolute sense, the score is shockingly low for AnTuTu v6.
The X20 was meant to be the undisputed king on every front, even when it comes to synthetics – and this one is fitted with a speed bumbed X25 – which is as disappointing as Trump’s speeches……

  Right now even for the people who cares Antutu (v6), expecting nothing less than 130K for 196 euros at reseller shops is just a wishful thinking. It might be possible next year. BTW that price belongs to the M3 Note.
  X20/25 wasn’t meant to be the undisputed king on every front for sure. To do that they would put in it 4-6 cores of Cortex-A72 at CPU and at least either 12-16 cores of Mali-T880 or PowerVR GT7800 at GPU. It would support LPDDR4 RAM and UFS storage and it would manufactured at 14/16nm FinFET. In that case the SoC alone would be at least twice as expensive and faster RAM and storage would make the handsets which contains it even more costly.
  Its predecessor wasn’t meant to be the undisputed king too, moreover considering leaked specs of its successor isn’t meant to be the undisputed king too.
  So far Helio X line chips meant to be cost-effective upper mid-range/slightly behind than high-end chips.

      Play a real game on SD820 for more than 10mins and monitor the GPU clocks and FPS. You’ll see then what you are really getting, a marketing GPU. The GPU will quickly overheat and drop clocks from 624MHz to 214MHz (or from 650 to 261 for Exynos) and all that perf is gone.

        But wasn’t Helio X20, with the decacore setup, meant to be some 300% faster (if I’m recalling 2015 projections correctly) than the SD 820 / 823 and the Exynos 8890, both in real world tests and synthetics?
        The expected score on AnTuTu v5 for the X20 was 90,000+ and the AnTuTu v6 expected score should likely have been 140,000+ as baseline scores: Meaning, with badly optimized roms and phones in beta, and the actual scores should have been even higher when optimized.
        I’m wondering why such a drastic deviation from the projections?

How do you know it has no microSD? on gizmochina they also wrote that it has no microsd, but here they wrote they don’t know.
For me if it has got better audio specs than Pro 5 (I seriously hope for it), then no microSD would be a killer.
Because if I want so good audio specs (with ESS stuff) than I would also want to have my music in at least mp3 320kbps or even lossless flacs.
I would be a real letdown with no microSD…

This camera isn’t consistent with Meizu advertising released yesterday on weibo : “They talk to you about many MP’s (Megapixels) but they don’t tell you how much the lens will be protruding”.
And they’re using in their PRO 6 an old 21MP IMX230, protruding from the shell ? WTF ?

      Also looking closely at the flash ring it looks different than Meizu’s press images. In Meizu’s images it is a polished metal, in this one it is very grainy and almost like a sandstone.
