Wearable maker Pi were once in cahoots with Meizu, but with that deal falling through the watch maker has continued on its on path to launch their latest wrist mounted piece of tech.
The Pi smartwatch hasn’t launched yet, but when it does it will cost a reasonable $49.99, but early birds can pick the device up for only $39.99.
On a features note the watch is pretty similar to other Chinese wearables and offers a round touch display, the option to choose themes, the ability to answer messages and show notifications, plus it has a heart rate monitor too.
But while its not the most innovative, it is quite a handsome wearable with modern styling, a good look metal (Magnesium-titanium alloy)bezel and leather wrist strap.
Gizchina News of the week
Reseller Banggood have the full details including a specification sheet that includes a 240 x 240 display, Mediatek MT621A chipset, and 250mAh battery good for 10 hours of useage,
While I don’t think we are currently seeing the full potential of smartwatches, I do think that the Pi is a good looking device, and with a low price it’s sure to find a few wrists to call home.
Would be nice if there was actual tizen os on it, cheap-ass java os from 2007 no one can use
these watches are useless with that nuclear OS. the software is horrendous. both on the device and on the smartphone. the only hope for a good cheap smartwatch is from xiaomi.
software on this watch sucks…
sorry for my bad language but this really sucks ???
