ZUK are teasing a new device, but is the phone pictured the ZUK Z2 Pro or the previously rumoured ZUK Z1 Mini?
ZUK rumours kicked in to action this week with news that the Lenovo backed phone team would launch a new flagship phone with a Snapdragon 820 chipset. That news was accompanied with renders of a a phone with outlandish 360 degree rotating camera design, which (not surprisingly) don’t appear to be real.
An official teaser from ZUK today shows a sleek black phone with narrow metal frame, 2.5D curved display, and we can just make out a laser focus module on the rear below the dual led flash and single camera.
Gizchina News of the week
ZUK don’t tell us which model the image is for leaving us with a few thoughts. Either this is for the new ZUK Z2, the Z1 Mini, or both phones could feature a similar design.
What isn’t shown is the fingerprint scanner, meaning that the new ZUK is going to stick with a physical home button arrangement, or at least have the fingerprint scanner on the chin of the phone.
We also wait to hear if ZUK’s partnership with Cyanogen has managed to keep on track through the past year and if an international version of the phone will be released with CM out of the box.
