Oukitel K6000 Premium gets confirmed specs

Rumors about the alleged premium version of Oukitel K6000 has been circulating for quite some time, but until today no official word and confirmation of the specs.

Today’s the day for the breakthrough though and we can finally get some info about the main specs along the first batch of official photos showing Oukitel K6000 Premium in all its glory.

Let’s take a quick look at the hardware first, specs are more or less fully confirmed, but with Chinese you never know so some last minute changes are always possible. Oukitel K6000 Premium should feature 5.5-inch AMOLED FullHD display, Mediatek Helio X20 processor paired with 6 GB RAM and 32 GB of storage expandable via microSD slot up to 128 GB and should come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

Phone will allegedly also feature curved glass back similar to Samsung S7 design. Camera setup choice is pretty interesting too, because both camera are going to be 13 Mpix with the rear one using Sony IMX258 sensor with PDAF and dual LED flash while the front one getting single LED flash. Battery capacity is the same as in the previous iterations of the model so 6000 mAh with fast charge support and last piece to spec puzzle is a fingerprint scanner.

  I think they’ll end up with 4gb of ram (which is still more than enough) since 3gb are found on the “pro” version already

    why do you need laser autofocus ? it will come with PDAF, type C is not really that big of a deal, pretty much all the phones with a good sensor can do slo-mo and as for OIS it’s a good thing to have but that’s about it

    I know these are nice features, but besides type C its all camera. I am a little disappointed cameras get so much attention in phone design nowadays because I fear its kind of pushing other nice features back. Unless someone goes balls deep on it and uses APS-C or 4/3 size sensor and appropriate lens elements the cameras are never going to be good enough so why just dont stick with ok camera to catch some occasional photos and focus on batteries, connectivity etc.

    From my experience with laser autofocus it works great but it has very limited range, I prefer PDAF (or both). All that money for a phone with a good processor, lots of RAM, a huge battery, MicroSD (not for me, but lots of people like it).

Looks good, although I’m betting they’re hiding black borders in those renders, but it’s not much of a concern for me actually… Now, let’s patiently wait for a whole year of pre-sales… ?

  They’re currently realising the pro version (with mt6753) saying that’s their “flagship for the first half of the year”… So this won’t be surely out before july (but I’m guessing we’ll have to wait further than that)

I hope the back isn’t knurled/rippled. It looks like that and that would be difficult to clean. Maybe they were smart and applied a clear coat on top. So that the surface is even.

    Did you say that when most phones had 2MP cams? Like why would you want 5MP, blah blah…
    The point is having the facilities and scope. The higher the resolution the better you can use the data to analyse. The theme of taking photos to be comparable to chemically developed media, is only one aspect of the camera’s use.
    If I want to take a photo as evidence I want high resolution vs colour aesthetics.
    If I want to take a photo of the family I want a balance between good colours and resolution for prosperity. Example so you can later zoom on a face of a departed family member and not be meet with blocks for facial feature.
    If I want an image for web-development/content I’ll usually want colour.

Is there anything similar to the K6000 Premium that’s out? Don’t need 6GB ram, 3GB would be nice, 5.5″ size, big battery + fast charge, + processor a bit faster than non-Helio octa’s.

  Nope, not at the moment… I mean, you can always pick redmi note 2 with 2 batteries, or else the redmi note 3 pro (which I heard has very good battery life), but nothing like this one spec-wise so far

    I’ve considered the Redmi Note 3 Pro, Le 1s, P9000, etc. I’ll be travelling a lot overseas, what I wanted was something like the Ulefone Power including the fast charge, but with a little better processor, like the M6752, P10, X10, or SD etc.
    The plan was to take a quick charge output capable battery bank, perhaps I can just get the note 3 pro, and a battery bank that can be quick charged itself, I just don’t like having phone connected to battery bank for extended periods of time while I’m out and about.
    Other plan is one of the 3000mah fast charging phones and battery mod it with a new rear cover.

      I have similar requirements but also need B20 so the bigger brands Like Letv,Xiaomi and Meizu are sadly out of question. P9000 is a maybe but I can´t justify buying it for their asking price. Its just too overpriced. Maybe If it had X20…like this one 🙂

  There are phones scheduled, like the Doogee F7 Pro and the Vernee Apollo. At a lesser the Zopo Speed 8.
  Oukitel will probably have the bigger battery though as that’s their hallmark feature.

Man! This is my dream phone – powerful yet with long lasting battery! Sweet! I’ll buy it, probably they will release it after the summer somewhere around Sept-Oct. You have to agree that there wasn’t any phone like that till now with X20 and big battery, nice! Just hope the price will be fair good.

Nice, my U8 was very good but developed light spots on the screen. Otherwise excellent build quality. If it’s premium, perhaps it could include a gyroscope sensor and UVC support. Oh and perhaps those will be real stereo speakers…..
Hopefully my current vkworld discovery s2 will survive my work place disasters until this comes out!

They are releasing it later because of proper testing and waiting for some of those components to drop in price.
What is advertised is what you`ll get. Oukitel have been standing tall by not promising much, but delivering and some more, and who knows by the time it`s released it might even get a 199$ price tag, who knows.

    It looks unreachable now without making some compromises, but in two-three months it will be fine, and even lower.
    On the other hand don`t hold your breath for the HOMTOM 10, it`s most likely vaporware.

Nice, my U8 was very good but developed light spots on the screen. Otherwise excellent build quality. If it’s premium, perhaps it could include a gyroscope sensor and UVC support. Oh and perhaps those will be real stereo speakers…..

Again, Oukitel fails with the omission of a Gyro sensor. Can’t call a phone Premium with missing pieces. (Edit) this phone as with all the K6000 line will be NON-Pokemon friendly without this sensor. Big fail with the current state of things. Just what these hunters need is a huge battery, but without the sensor it is a bust.
