Cubot machinery is going full force and with the upcoming release of Dinosaur and Rainbow models there will be also coming the real availability of the Cheetahphone, which was announced mid February.
The Cheetahphone is a fruit of cooperation between Cubot and the mobile app maker Cheetah Mobile, but so far the production has been only very limited and mainly only for the testing purposes. Both companies seem to be insistent on strict quality control of the pre-installed Android 6.0 with built-in modifiable launcher and 3D desktop.
Gizchina News of the week
Specs of the Cheetahphone include FullHD 5,5-inch display, MT6753 processor with 3 GB RAM, fingerprint sensor, 3050 mAh battery, 5-lens 13 Mpix rear shooter with Samsung 3M2 sensor supporting PDAF and fast focus in 0.3s. Front cam will offer 8 Mpix with functions like beautification, panorama, motion detection and more. The body of the phone should be full metal with 8mm thickness and available in gold, rose gold and space grey colors.
Original reports were talking about mid-March availability but looks like end of April is more realistic estimation, so we will see how the first partnership between Cubot and Cheetah Mobile will end up. The pricing is still expected around 200-200$ range, which is a bit high in my eyes so the real value remains to be seen.
