After the release of the flagship Meizu Pro 6 it’s time for the company to look back into the budget waters and give the price oriented sailors something to toy with too. That being said it’s only logical that it’s going to be another model from the Blue Charm lineup in form of Meizu M3. And the launch should be already tomorrow so April 25th !
From the TENAA certification pictures and a real one from Weibo leak it’s clear, that the design is somewhat similar to the previous generation Meizu M2. The same polycarbonate shell and 2.5D glass, but at least with the fingerprint sensor integrated in the Home mTouch button and USB Type-C connector, maybe even with fast charging support.
Gizchina News of the week
Specs are pretty much as expected, 5-inch HD display, Mediatek Helio P10 (MT6755) with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of storage, 13 Mpix + 5 Mpix cameras and FlyMe 5.1.3 based on Android 5.1. The battery capacity of 2800 mAh is nothing stellar especially compared with the 4000 mAh one in the Meizu Note 3 bigger brother, but with the lower resolution it should be enough. LTE Cat. 6 support is also a step up from its predecessor.
The Meizu M3 should be available in white, blue, grey, pink and gold colors and the expected price tag in China is 599 yuan (92$). The competition in the budget sector is extremely fierce and unforgiving so let’s see how the new Meizu will deal with the hungry sharks.
MT6750 not 6755.It’s the new budget 8 cores while the P10 is 1.8 and 2GHz not 1.5. http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=mt6750
Safe to assume. Not much info on the SoC but it wouldn’t make sense for it to be 32 bit.
BTW just noticed that the new LeEco (x20 and SD820) are listed as 32 bit too in Geekbench, might explain why the scores are weak.
The MX5 comes up as 32 bit in Geekbench as well. Geekbench is the only place that happens though. Everything else says 64.
There’s also the question of, you know, why this is in a comment thread on an article about the Meizu M3. I’m sure I go off on a tangent sometimes but where do these apropos of nothing comments always come from (I know you’re not the one behind them)
I try not to throw threads off topic too much, I probably have in the past but it’s not that often.
Yeah, I wasn’t getting at you, I was just confused why Assefa posted this to begin with.
i always pots unrealted topics lol :/ should i stop? i cant control myself when i get “news” lol
Well, it’s an odd place to do it. Why not use the forums if you want to discuss a topic of your choosing? I’m not in charge but it seems odd to sit there with links to thing you want to discuss, waiting for any old random unrelated post to drop it in the comments of.
To be fair, it gets quite boring in the weekend, so i personally welcome such OT as long as it’s not spam… But I can understand it’s just me ?
Based on what? Every phone they released has been average at best. Why is that suddenly going to change?
thats true they have never made anything premium, it wont just suddenly change im just wishing for the best, i know for sure they have good build quality at the very least
Just discovered a Zuk with 720p (size likely an error) , Helio P10 and 3GB RAM https://gfxbench.com/device.jsp?benchmark=gfx40&os=Android&api=gl&D=ZUK+R1&testgroup=info
Odd, usually the bug in gfx shows 4.6″ as display size… Since this is a 4.7″, we can assume 4.7 is the actual size and hd the actual resolution, so it’s a z2 mini…
And here i was hoping for a 5.5-5.7″ screen and a massive battery for the next zuk phone… ?
The res is never wrong but i think 4.7 is also a size displayed sometimes in error, just less often. Can’t remember an example of 4.7 inch in error though.
I’m almost 100% sure the bug always shows 4.6 (it’s some kind of meme on an italian blog I follow: many want a smaller flagship, so everytime bloggers use gfx bug as a clickbait saying “4.6 inch flagship” abd sh*t) ?
Here a 5.7 incher,2 actually.
