Huawei’s Honor sub-brand has mostly been about budget flagship phones. This time around, though, Honor seem to be up to something different.
The Honor V8 is a phone that’s received a lot of attention from the rumour mills already. What we have on our hands this time though is something much bigger (figuratively and literally) — pictures of the phone.
The Honor V8 was spotted on China’s TENAA. The phone will come in at least three variants, namely KNT-AL10, KNT-TL10, and KNT-AL20 with the last one being the highest specced.
Gizchina News of the week
The KNT-AL10 and KNT-TL10 models come with 32GB storage and a 2.3GHz octa-core processor, whereas the KNT-AL20 variant of the Honor V8 has 64GB on-board storage and a 2.5GHz octa-core processor. This, while all versions have a hefty 4GB of RAM… and a 5.7-inch screen with a 2K display (a first for Honor).
A couple of things that these leaks confirm: dual rear camera setup (as speculated earlier) and laser focus. Quite clearly, Huawei is keen to bring the camera tech it bought from Leica to its budget Honor line… although the specifications of this device don’t make it look like a budget phone in any way.
We’ll know about that and more on the day of the phone launch, i.e. 10th May at 10:08am.
Let me assure you that it will not be cheap.
Huawei never ever selling their good product with budget price.
Only those with very super darn lousy spec then they sell a little bit cheaper.
They are aiming high in the sky for those rich loaded people or those youngster that still very easy to get money by crying at their mother father LOL.
Well there’s a P9 variant sub 3000RMB. I expect the 1080p variant of this will have to be around that mark.
