New portion of the Elephone riddles

Elephone is recently trying to play being mysterious, at least with the information about the upcoming Elephone P9000 Edge model. Few pictures here and there and we even have to guess and wonder whats on them for real.

You surely remember our last two small Elephone riddles and the guessing game about the meaning of the pictures, along the later reveal that it’s showing dual camera setup with dual LED flash. Then came another big question about the location of the fingerprint sensor.

One of the most voted and guessed option has been the scanner location being put into one of the edge buttons or the edge itself, but todays pictures are clearly showing that nothing extravagant or exotic is coming with P9000 Edge. The fingerprint scanner is going to be integrated in the Home button and all the extravagancy is limited to red circle around it.

But let’s continue with Elephone riddle tradition and let’s try to guess the processor used in the P9000 Edge. Is it going to be the usual suspects with Helio P10 or X20? Or is Elephone going to surprise everybody with Helio X25? Or some other obscure solution? Let us know in comments under the article.

The color looks great (would love to se a carmín red or a deep metallic blue or green in my next phone)
But why the tease?????
The VOWNEY was announced the same time around last year only to show up when the party for the X10 was over…
If they don’t hurry up and deliver on the Edge they are dead for good.
The P9000-Edge should be out in the market no later than may or it won’t be any relevant just like the fate of the VOWNEY was.

  Exactly. The Vowney still isn’t a bad purchase for the hardware, but with the near zero support it’s a dead anchor.

  Comments are always super high on Elephone items. Elephone are a unique company that have both promise and intrigue. Elephone also has that controversial side, like doing out their customer.

    Ok. Based on your garbled comment you have a relationship with them. Given the trends on this site lately, indeed over the last few years regarding some truly lacking brands, I’m very suspect. I’m also very disappointed. I’m in the “check this site once in a while” category because there’s no objectivity here. Very sad since this is my first goto site each morning. Bye, bye Andy.

      GizChina is a chinese tech news site. Why would they not report Elephone? Like I said they also garnish high comment counts on Elephone articles.

        I’m on various China phone forums and check out other sites. Elephone doesn’t get anywhere near the type of coverage that it gets here. It’s glaring.

      As an example I just recently recommended my friend buy a Zopo Speed 8 from GizChina shop. I think they are a solid purchase before other phones hit. I’m personally interested in the Doogee F7 Pro, the Vernee Apollo, and maybe now the Elephone Edge.
      I think your claims of bias are ill founded.

I think Elephone have done pretty well with the P9000 at the expense of other models. If they can harbour the attention of the P9000 they have given it, then their future phones will be promising. They do need to drop the numbers of different releases though and concentrate of a few. We all know this.
